Recruiter asked if i was a homeowner or renter. Legal Question?

Same as title. Didn't know if the question was relevant for a software engineer position. So is this legal or do i have to file a complaint to the government?

Completely bombed a phone interview today and feel worthless.

I had a phone interview with a cannabis growing company, whom I applied over the weekend because the position really intrigued me. I had a phone interview at 11am this morning and I feel I completely bombed it. It was scheduled for a half hour, and my call lasted 10 minutes.. I don’t know how to interview and no matter how hard I try, I just resort to clear & concise answers, short and to the point. I have no problem answering questions such as “What are your strengths?”, but she also asked me my weaknesses and I said “Honestly, I’m not sure” and she said okay with an awkward pause. She asked why I wanted to work there, and I said “In my current role, I feel I’ve reached a ceiling in the ability to learn new skills, and I became intrigued when I saw your job posting, knowing…

Follow up to the layoff after closing out the largest deal in company history

Appreciate everyone’s comments on the original post. Didn’t think this would take off like it did. The company as a whole is experiencing some issues and I was part of a 15% across the board layoff. As far as my situation, I’ve already talked to an attorney. Think we got a pretty good case. They’re trying to reneg on paying out my remaining unused PTO in addition to trying to gaslight me on what my contract says. I landed a new job. As soon as people in my industry found out what happened I was scooped up by the President of Sales from another company. He called me at noon and said he had a job for me and he’s sending over the contract tomorrow. I’m going to make a ton more money at this company than I would have ever made where I’m at now.

I slipped and fell at work, can I sue them?

I parked at the parking lot of the casino I work at and slipped on oil and fell. I hurt my back and knees but not seriously injured. Can I sue them?

Put my two weeks notice for a better opportunity

I need help on this decision I’m trying to make that can change my life for the greater good. I’m currently in a 4 year relationship that I want to turn into a marriage but I keep getting “ultimatums” if I go out further for work. My Gf doesn’t see eye-to-eye with my family based on things that SHE has done and always wants to pin it to be about me not caring about her feelings when each time I’ve came out to work she’s gone out behind my back, seen pictures with other guys and her girl friends, and plainly just not respecting me while I’m going out and making money to better navigate life’s problems with her. I want to have my own family meanwhile she tells me “ I cant leave my family like you, I love my siblings and being around my on” who I must…

There’s apparently a shortage of workers, but I can’t get a job…? (Rant)

Im sure this has been discussed many times on this sub, I just need to get it off my chest. Its bothering the fuck out of me I have been out of consistent work for months. I get shifts here and there, and obviously I'm surviving on very little. The shifts pay well, but they're inconsistent So I have been applying for jobs almost every day. I live right outside Orlando Florida, which is a big city with an endless supply of jobs… or not Everywhere since covid seems to say “were having a worker shortage and were running on a skeleton crew”. They're not hiring apparently, but there aren't enough workers…? What? I have 10 years experience in the service industry so it shouldn't be an issue. A decade is good experience, but apparently not good enough for these places Yes I apply to many places, often entry level…
