Started a new job August '22. Was told at the end of the first quarter (april 1st '23), I would get my full pay raise and the annual 4% pay increase. Here it is June and I'm still at base rate. Everytime I ask about it they say “we're looking into it” I've been asking for two months now. I work 50-60hrs per week so they owe me a good amount of money at this point. I Email HR and was told I would be contacted by someone. This was 1 week ago still radio silence. I come to work everyday and give it my all. But I'm losing motivation big time over this. Two other coworkers are dealing with the same issue. What the hell can I do about this? So frustrated and have been steadily for weeks.

I lost my job today, I worked at a car dealership in TN, I started as a porter, doing the dirty clean up and support type roles around the dealership. After about a month I was asked to learn the service advisor role, I accepted hoping for increased wage with increased responsibilities and to present myself to the owner as a “can do” kinda guy. And continued to do so. Moving on to service writing and then to what I was doing today, running the parts department. Anyways all this started over some motor oil. A technician needed some oil for a car he was working on but we didn't have any on hand, so I call up the Oreillys and get some on the way. 10 minutes go by and the tech asks if it's arrived yet, I said no not yet but I'll call up Oreillys to see…

Here are some things I have experienced at work: being ignored or getting dirty looks from people, being iced out and not given basic information, being referred to as “the help” as the only minority in the situation, entering a bathroom and seeing blood and poop everywhere and lots of people just not flushing after taking a ginormous poop (do you want the rest of us to have to see this???), other people being snitches for minor things like a casual comment about something, other people being racist, someone “jokingly” calling security on me and having me followed around, coworkers that are just all around jerks. If I can't trust that my coworkers aren't racist or trying to snitch on me or set me up, then how can we unite to talk about wages?

Had an Interview with the district manager of a store that rhymes with Bernie’s back in may for a salaried assistant manager position. I have management and retail experience. First interview went so well she called me before I even got home to meet up with the store manager who was busy when I came in. Did the next day and that went well too. said she or the DM would get back to me before the weekend with their decision. Never did. Before everyone jumps on the “you don’t pay child support” I agreed to have it taken out automatically from my check for convenience. The admin fees he took out are 4 times more than they should be and that’s why I am bringing that up in the text.

I have a bad history with my manager and her attitude, this is the first time I have called her out on it as I feel that she singles me out way too often. I called off Monday morning as I was in a car accident, I told the manager that I was indisposed and would not be able to show to work. She asked if I was sick, which I again replied with, “I’m indisposed”. The following day I tell her that I wanted to submit my sick hours for the day I missed, which she replied back saying, “You never said you were sick”. That sole comment made my blood boil as I don’t have to give her any damn details as to why I had missed work that day, It’s a personal matter I didn’t want anyone knowing about. I am currently a customer service agent/front desk person for a radio station. A couple months ago my manager told us (me and other CSAs) that we would be required to be able to start a sale by sending package information to clients then forward their details to the sales team and that it is not mandatory to complete any sales. Yesterday I then got an email from the boss that stated that any CSA who is not able to conduct sales will not be given priority when rostering (meaning forced to work night shift). Obviously everyone knows that being a sales agent is a completely different full time job and we are now required to do the entire process from start to finish. Did I mention all this is unpaid but at least we get commission.
