So I used to work for a food place. The manager on duty at the time hates my guts cause the I filed a complaint on her. That complaint was I had a wardrobe malfunction and needed to go home and she wouldn't let me. Back to today where I said I had to go to the bathroom. Mainly out of courtesy to let them know someone would need to man the checkout in case a customer came up. It wasn't rush or anything and everyone that was there had their food and everything. I was told no. I stood confused for a moment not certain as to why she said no. She then proceeded to send someone who not only had a short shift but arrived after me on break so we definitely wouldn't have any coverage for the front without shorting the back. I asked SIX times before…

How to obtain “financial freedom”?
19m, currently in college (thankfully have aid). Although, unfortunately, im not decided on what college major to do yet. Ive thought about “big money majors”, but just havent found anything that fits me. Anyways, im looking to obtain whats known as financial freedom, so I dont have to be extremely pressured by work. Id preferrably like a job that is remote, since im hoping to travel the world. Realizing this might not be the right reddit to ask this, but oh well. Thanks for reading
Getting left out . Time to leave ?
Did a project with two other coworkers. I did about 80% of the work and Coworker “A” did 20% and Coworker “B” just showed up and left .Next day, boss praised both my coworkers and completely ignored my efforts . Should I just leave ?
It has been some time so i think it is too late to talk to the resturant but i just want an oppinion. I was given an interviev as a waiter at a fancy resturant in my town and they asked me to to a trial shift to see how i work. I worked from 5 in the evening to 9, and i bought a black blouse for the uniform. The resturant was so fancy that you had to tell everything that was on the dish for the people that were eating it so of course it was hard for me ti do that because i did not have time to memorise but i did great overall and even the chiefs loved my enthusiasm. But they never contacted me again wich i still dont know why. But also i did not get money for that shift, is that usually normal…
Termination with a PARTY
An employee had the employer sued by making a mistake. We were then all invited to a party to celebrate his departure to another company. The employee seemed very happy, but we are suspicious. Could he have been forced to resign? Or could this just merely be a coincident?
I am wondering if they can legally question the hours.
i feel like I have put a lot effort for nothing, and i believe i will get less hike even though i work hard and do a good job, simply because i dont raise my voice, other are very demanding and i might always take a hit. I am worried because even if i change the company, simply because i dont show off and speak out my disappointment, or cant negotiate better, i might end up with less reward every time. Is there not a company where my hike will always dependant on my on paper performance, than showoff or being vocal of literally everything??
Asking for references sucks
Employers asking for references is so insanely annoying and alienating. I worked at a job for two years once and had six different general managers come and go in that time. They were all corporate climbers and barely got to know the staff, so even though I killed it at that job and was beloved by my coworkers and clients, I have no former superiors that can vouch for me because none of them even know who I am anymore. In another case, I listed an old manager as a reference once after talking to him about my upcoming interview, and he retaliated with a malicious reference. I left that job with a heartfelt letter from him about how hard of a worker I was and how he'd always be there to help in case I needed anything, and then he went and screwed me out of a life-changing career…
