I am getting ready to put my notice in at a loan company, and I was informed that if I am not employed on the day we get our bonus I will not get it. Is this legal?? (I live and work in Missouri)

I was a temp employee through a temp agency at this company awhile back. I really liked the job but they gave me the run around when I asked about getting hired in since it was temp to hire. They told me my assignment would end in a week which would've been my 90 days so I just never showed up for the last of it. What should I expect if I get hired in and someone recognizes me and they find out I worked there before as a temp?

So I know it's not an option for most people (it's not for me; might have been at one time but I made the mistake of believing the rat race had purpose), but after doing lots of reading (Marx, Rousseau, Aristotle, Plutarch, Livy, etc..) and re-evaluating my historical studies I think honestly the only true way a man has to freedom is to own his own natural resources and means of production. My partners place of work has experienced a massive leak today from all the rain. The water has gotten into electrical sockets, caused the fire alarms to go off and has caused part of the internal ceiling to fall in. The assistant manager sent a group message asking for everyone to bring a spare change of clothes tomorrow to help assist with the clean up. They still intend on opening tomorrow and allowing customers in. One of the staff members have challenged the assistant manager on this saying they aren't comfortable going anywhere near it when there's a chance someone could be hurt – electrocuted, more of the ceiling falling in etc. For reference, the company is massive, they had over over £billion turn over last year, they knew the roof leaked, its been doing it for years. I find myself drinking more during my work week. Even get check Liver light drunk at least once during that span. I work a high stress high focus job 50hrs a week. How do you cope will the crippling crush of “Capitalism “?

With the actors and writers strike beginning, I'm seeing footage of picket lines in America on UK TV again. Why on earth do people walk round in circles and up and down the road constantly? This does not happen here. You would just stand there holding a placard. I presume that there's some law that says you have to march? Can anyone enlighten me about how this came about?

Long story short I’ve been with a company for over a year and am their star employee. I recently got a promotion, then started getting singled out by one of my bosses (the head chef). I won’t get too far into it but his girlfriend is very young and problematic and confessed to having a crush on me and when I turned her down she started spreading defamatory things about my character and rumors as well. I’m pretty sweet with everyone who works where I do and the surrounding business in the center so anything she’s ever said has been told to me.
