A couple years ago I had a crappy job in IT (like most of them). I was supposed to be outsourced as some sort of customer support coordinator, but the guy I was outsourced to actually wanted me to work as tech support. I didn't mind but figured it was a yellow flag, so I called my company's “HR” and said it was OK. I tore my Achilles Tendon outside of work and was able to talk everyone out of taking me to hostpital but ended up going the next day. I went to urgent care to hopefully get a answer how fucked I am but they just came to the same conclusion I got from youtube. They told me to get a splint from the Hostpital and apply for emergency medical since I don’t have insurance as a 20m. I work construction and as a server at a restaurant which allows me to live pretty comfortably with my wife who is also a server. The Hostpital ended up giving me a shared room and made me wait forever to get an X-ray and a bandage splint. They never even gave me the. Pictures of the X-ray and never said how bad my tendon is. I went from a full wfh situation to this(refer the text below )all because my manager left the organisation and i was placed in a different account and that too without asking me first or even informing me. I was just transferred without any proper notification or even a heads up. The work has started taking up my personal time as well and I’m not paid overtime and this is after trying my best to enforce my boundaries, the only upside i see is that on my cv i get the name of a big car brand and they say I’ll get any job i want after this, which sounds like bs to me. I’m kinda over my job bartending/keys or “manager” at this restaurant. I’ve been there for 5 years and I’ve about had it with the owner and his lack of management. I’ve never gotten fired from a spot so idk what would allow me to collect unemployment. I have a seasonal side business that’s under the books so that’s why I’d like to wait before getting another job.

Here's the story of my work life. If you're someone who likes to read, give it a go. If not, no worries. I just need to get this out. So I currently work at this car wash. Big conveyor wash, full service, towels and spray bottles provided. Originally it was mom and pop owned by my friend's dad and they needed a general employee who knew stuff about computers to help them with the wash system, it was way more technologically involved than they thought. It astounds me what people think is acceptable to leave behind, and that it's perfectly fine to trash a room with glitter, chewed gum, food, discarded tissues and general detritus. Have these people no pride, shame or self-worth? Kids are by far the worst and from that I deduct that their parents are as shitty as they are.

As I said in the title, I finally got a job 500+ CVs, a year of looking, and finally, I got a job and both even corporate hell, hahahaha. For the last year I've Been job hopping and looking for any place where I don't get treated like scum for being new or inexperienced that just made the search take so much longer but it finally happened. I got a job working as a private consultant, but the employer is also training me in so much. Actual guidance, real experience, and most importantly, for the first time in my life, I'm not waking up dreading my day, wishing I was dead instead of having to get up on the mornings. On the advice of friends I'm going to citizens advice to see if I can do something about this. I started a job back in April and within the first week I got the flu. I kept coming in because 1) I couldn't afford to stay home and 2) it was my first week! It took me shivering at my desk with a fever for me go home and a manager telling me they didn't want people in the office sick. Fast forward to three weeks ago, I wake up with pain in my neck so bad that I get sent to A&E and over the next few days I spent time in hospital. I desperately wanted to work because I loved what I was doing and I loved my coworkers, but I couldn't move, Icouldn't dress myself, and I was on heavy pain killers. After two weeks, against doctors…
