For context I did a phone interview at like 10:45 and then did an in person interview at 12:30. I really did feel good vibes. Really upsetting when a chain car wash is the only company to actually contact me about a rejection.

So long story short the company I work for just had their building bought by a different, similar company. All of us employees are transitioning to the new company. I had 53 hours of sick hours built up over the two years I've worked here. Now that I'm transferring to the new company my sick hours are disappearing instead of being paid out. Only vacation hours are being paid out but part time employees (most of the employees there) don't get vacation hours So now I'm losing out on all these hours I never used because I hardly ever call out of work
Wanting reassurance about having quit
I started a minimum wage job at KFC nearly 2 months ago, it’s been alright, I mean the rude customers and repetitive work just drained me, most of my coworkers were nice some were a bit rude but just think it’s because the job is real shitty. I walked out an hour before I finished my shift yesterday because was getting very stressed and manager got unhappy with me telling me it’s unacceptable. I thought about it overnight and just decided not to come in today because obviously the manager’s lacking the ability to feel empathy and everything else about the job sucks. Was supposed to start half an hour ago and now my phone is blowing up and I feel like a real asshole.
quitting a part time job with no backup
not sure if this right place to ask so sorry if its not. i (M22) have been working a part time job since last march & i just absolutely hate it now & its also terrible pay. i also picked up another part time job back in NOV but i hate that one too (both very similar but the new one is a step above). i have been looking for a full time job for a while now without any luck but am confident ill eventually find one. i also still live with my parents too. i do have a good amount of money from some work i did back in HS. idk what to do tho, i just cant stand my jobs now. any advice/tips/experience would be greatly appreciated! i would also have to talk with my parents about quitting to get their acceptance. i feel like my mom…

Boss angry I’m taking medical leave
So my boss- someone who is genuinely an awful person and constantly yells at her staff and talks to them like they're dogs- has suspended me (which is fine given I need leave anyway).. though the suspension is until further notice. I had called in to take medical leave for reasons relating to mental unwellness and extreme depression, to which I could hear her (I was talking to a manager under her) yelling about it in the background angrily. Just, frustrated, I don't know. Been dealing with this vile woman for 3 years because there's really not many alternatives where I live.
Decided to FINALLY leave
I ended up finally ending things after only 3 months of working with this company. Doesn't seem like a long time right, but boy where those 3 months wild. During my short stay with this company, they have put carcinogenic chemicals in humidifiers (we called the company about the usage of their chemicals and they about lost it due to improper and dangerouse us) , had multiple conflicts within the comoany between workers, they tried to steal PTO and have stolen PTO accural times from people. They also would never even say thank you, because it would “raise our egos.” They have even removed positions entirely to prevent people from advancing. Did I mention it was salary? We would constantly get berrated by other mangers for leaving early even if all of our work was done, but never once said a peep if we stayed lated. Best of all, remember…
The video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVTxute2lhA I wrote out a quite lengthy response to all of their points. 0:00 “The US economy still has a massive massive labor shortage.” • No it doesn't. It has a wage shortage. Companies have plenty of money to pay people more, but they refuse. No one wants to put up with horrible jobs that pay nothing when rent is sky high. 0:09 “obviously the pandemic exacerbated the problem.” • The cost of living and company profits going up year after year for decades, but average wages hardly going up at all is the main problem. Wrong again. 0:52 “600 thousand nurses plan to leave the field by 2027.” • 7,000 nurses walked out in New York because their company failed to reach a deal. Hospitals charge people $100,000 for an aspirin and a band-aid, yet refuse to pay the people who run the show. It's…
