Background: I'm 32, I make $50k a year as a hibachi chef, I hate everything about it, and I always want to die. There's no reason to be alive. To make more money? To contribute to an economy that's literally dependent on slave labor and only exists to enrich the greedy and evil? Nah, not for me, sounds terrible. I drive past homeless people in a car that I don't want to own because cars are fucking awful and I should be able to walk or bike anywhere I need to go, but I'm forced to own one because I live in a conspiracy that has been engineered specifically to prevent me from conducting any facet of my life or moving around anywhere unless I own a car, so I have to own a car because I have to drive to a job that I hate that only serves to…

Boss make a dollar….
I worked at a small business for a few years and left. When I heard the old manager was leaving I decided to ring up the owner and asked if he needed a manager. We sat down and he gave me a long line of bull shit about how he didn't really want anyone to be a manager, and that he'll take on the responsibilities of the role. a few months later nothing was being managed as the owner was sitting at home doing nothing. I started telling my coworkers what to do, as I had 6 years experience and they had around 2 each. the owner gets wind of this and sits me down to tell me he's making one of the newer employees the manager because “they're always here on time, they're always working hard, and they've never left me” I fought the urge to quit, but heard…
Wow this is sad.
Long term care facility, one nurse threatened to kill another , or kill themselves, all in front of a resident. Management sent the killer nurse home, and that was it. Killer Nurse still working 2 days later, no suspension, no firing. This is American Healthcare!
So for some context I work in retail. We had a few people the other day come to help my department set things up for back to school. One of the people helping us usually works in the online orders department. They're helping me out, put things on shelves and they asks me ” so how do brakes work over here?” I thought it was obvious we take our lunch and two 15 minute breaks for an 8 hour shift. I told them that we take all our breaks over here whenever we need to take our breaks. That question in itself concerned me so I asked them ” How do breaks work over in your department?” They proceed to tell me that in their department they usually don't take breaks and if they do they take one 15 minute break. I was in complete shock. I told them that…
Lunch “stolen” at work
So ever since return to office last year I have been bringing in lunch to work to save money and eat healthier than pre-covid. One of my issues before for not bringing food is some days I would forget to take it in the morning. So now I put in my calendar and forcefully remember to take food certain days and usually take 2-3 days worth of lunch and leave it in the fridge overnight. I have been doing this for the last 14 months with 0 issues. Today when I went to get my lunch my bag was missing. It was an ordinary plain white bag but had 2 containers of food inside. I’m inclined to to believe someone took it accidentally but it bothers me that I don’t know if it was an accident or intentional. I thought may be the cleaners threw it out but there was…
