The Job Creators Network was started by Home Depot founder/oligarch Bernard Marcus (net worth $8B) and was the main force behind the SCOTUS student debt ruling, and other anti-union stuff. At first it seems odd.. Why would people in the construction supply business even care about college student loans? Let's check out their advocacy page… https://www.jobcreatorsnetwork.com/issues/ First it sings the praises of American small business. Nevermind how many small hardware stores The Home Depot has put out of business over the years. They're essentially the hardware version of Walmart. The page has these 6 bullet points… The Job Creators Network advocates for policymakers to: Reform the tax system so the financial burden on America’s job creators is reduced. (because oligarchs don't like to pay taxes) Pass free market healthcare solutions that will address the problems associated with Obamacare. The employer already disrespects you and your time by paying you so little, so why give them the courtesy.
Student loan borrowers are workers! The problem with POTUS is that he wants to keep this predatory system in place! His “Plan B” is just more of the same that will only further enrich his donors and debase 46 million Americans! Enough is Enough we need to #CancelALLStudentDebtNOW and pass #College4All
I know this is r/antiwork and i joined this community as i share the same vision. But really this 'gotta hustle' totally depends on the family/spouse themselves. 50% families i've seen in my life prefer dads who always be available because employers can change their employees, but a father can't change his family; while the other 50% prefers sacrifice, and their reason is more obvious. There are far more broken homes I see because their father didn't sacrifice enough. Out of 2 families in their economic hardships, one which their father sacrifice/left his family most of the times to do anything he can do to feed his family, and another one which is always available for their family and doing 9-5, the former have higher chance to have long lasting family, while the latter will be sued to divorce on the following year. Because the former is seen as a…
Hypocritical boss blocking a promotion.
Kind of a vent but very work specific and honestly feels like targeted bs. Basically there has been an open position in management for the past few months which hasn't been filled. One that I know I'm the best fit for, and have been told that by other management. About a week ago I was talking with one of my managers and they mentioned how in the last 3 meetings my name had been brought up for a promotion but the lead manager rejected me all 3 times. They said it was because I was dating someone we work with, which yeah could make since IF THE MANAGER WASN'T DATING A FORMER EMPLOYEE THEY PROMOTED TO MANAGEMENT. Oh yeah also half of the current management is also dating other employees some of them other management in that meeting. Honestly that shit was my last straw I was waiting for the…
