‘Business’ and ‘busyness’ are the same exact thing but “business” has become a word of it’s own to protect the culture of greed and exploitation.

Over time, busyness developed a secondary connotation and eventually its own word, “biz-ness” with two syllables, to mean something positive, a form of commerce and not just describing being busy for the sake of being busy. Just imagine how it would sound if we still pronounced it correctly, with 3 syllables. “I'm here for busy-ness.” “I'm going on a busy-ness trip.” “I own a busy-ness.” Makes it sound as silly as it really is, a borderline schizophrenic delusion of having to occupy yourself with something in order to justify your existence, especially while ignorant of what kind of effects your 'busyness' is going to have on the world. Fuck the “bizznesss” culture and call it what it is, while rampart problems that we actually now have the means and resources to solve went unnoticed because the conscious creatures of this world were too busy with meaningless exploitation of the natural…

Half Price Books workers join other booksellers in informational picket in Minnesota

From the Instagram accounts ufcw1189 and mnbookstoreworkersunited 9 Half Price Books locations have unionized of their 122 currently open stores, and their union busting tactics are getting more and more grim. They’ve begun firing people, they’ve denied accessibility accommodations in order to push people out, the CEO has visited stores to curse and yell at the employees, make jokes about gender pronouns, and brag about her wealth and how she owns property all over Texas. There is little to no communication between stores, and that is intentional. Many locations know nothing about the union effort and that’s what corporate wants, so please spread the word!

But like if you had an appointment your mum made she could pull you out of class. If you were sick no biggie. You didn't need a certificate. (At least where I'm from you didn't) and when I'd complain about school to my friends we'd say we couldn't wait to be adults so we could have freedom. Now that I've been working for a while in the adult world, I feel ashamed if I call in sick. I have to get a certificate despite having sick hours but it costs $25 per day your sick for the certificate, then they want you to go to chemist/Dr to get the certificate. Doctors won't backdate sometimes if you can't afford/miss a day?? Like I'm…
