WHAT THE F$CK
I am a middle-class professional with a great job that I love. I'm proud to work hard every day, and I make lots of money. I have a big house in the suburbs, 4 weeks vacation every year, and a 401k that will allow me to retire at 55. But my boss did something that was slightly rude. It caused a mild inconvenience to me! Now I am thinking about getting a new job doing the same thing at a virtually identical company that will appreciate my loyalty and hard work. I'm sure you guys can identify with my struggle, right?
Buddy of mine is quitting Walmart. He doesn't want to give 2 week notice because of all the bullshit that went on. He has 47 hours of vacation. His manager says if he quits and doesn't give 2 weeks, he only get paid for 3 days. He is waiting for a call back from HR. Is this correct?
In desperate need of advise
I'm a woman and they got me by the balls. I'm exhausted and have almost no personal time away from work. My health is starting to fail. If I take a week vacation, I work unpaid overtime hours to get away because well I am permitted to go on vacation if all my work is done. My job has been so inconsistent for over a year that I end up going the wrong way to find the bathroom. Our work environment feels disorganized and distracting but if I try to make changes, I get put on a performance improvement instead of congratulations. I've been passed through multiple supervisors and back again. Some of them make me feel small, perceived or real. Everything is priority so I rush to accomplish things and end up making mistakes then get slaughtered for making mistakes. There is absolutely no way I could have known…
I want to quit this job
So I’ve been having this job since June. At first everything seemed fine for the first week but by the 2nd-3rd week I started to see why this job isn’t worth the stress and imma list the reasons why. The store manager may seem nice but in reality she’s an asshole. This store manager also hired her “friend” makes her a shift leader and pays her more than anyone else there (this was confirmed by a coworker of mine) There’s been ongoing problems with one of my coworkers and a rehire. The coworker in general told this rehire about some family issues she was going through and the rehire went around telling people that the coworker was a liar about family issues (including the managers “friend”). The store manager got involved but is still having issues. I was promised saturdays off because I sell at farmers markets and stuff like…

They can’t even call?
I couldn’t work weekends because of my baby. They literally have addicts working there. Tf.

Volunteer organizations being selective
Not sure if this is the right place to post, but what's with the volunteer organizations being so selective? I've gotten rejected as a volunteer and other places make you go through an application process asking for references etc, then some of them even require a certain number of hours and if you need to leave early for something, you need to ask your “group leader” aka boss.
