This has spiraled out of control. I was working a specific role but this company abuses the “other duties assigned” and has me and my team doing basically everything while they tired to outsource my old job but are failing (outsourced workers aren’t doing it right bc it’s sort of a skilled job). Where do we go from here? We are now just expected to do these different roles we recently got trained on and the work keeps adding in with no increase in pay. At this point, it would make more sense and save the company money if they just took the money they paid to the outsourced workers and gave us raises. Idk, I’m looking for a new job but just needed to vent. It’s honestly super competitive and tough out there. I don’t have the best network work wise sonjobs are hard to come by and I…
If you are too ignorant to understand the process we are all going through and instead blame us all for not being able to live halfway comfortably while working 50 hours a week and telling us to just get a second job, maybe you should join us in the struggle and see that it's not 1974 anymore. I'm quite tired of giving 125% all day only to be told by Susan or Debra about how much more of a raise I still need to fund the absolute worst piece of real estate I can potentially afford. How many of us literally can't get a raise unless we go backwards for a couple years and find a new career? But then how do we pay the same amount of bills and still stay afloat? Hear from left and right about how hard it was back in literally the most carefree generations…
I really feel like doing it, like I really want to just let go. I can’t do it though, I have a daughter who is 5 and I don’t want her to grow up alone without a mother. I don’t understand why my brain is doing this to me. I work in healthcare, a fast-paced, busy hospital. I work in inpatient psych and also on another unit with people detoxing from substances. It’s very busy and my work doesn’t have “coverage” for taking one day off for being sick. Naturally my two coworkers have banded together and decided to hate me, I went on a mental health leave for 6 months after being physically attacked at work by a visitor and when I got back, they said to me “all our feelings towards you being gone on leave are justified, we had to cover for you and you’re not a…
I recently received an email that Student Loan interests will resume soon. It has been on pause throughout the whole situation with COVID and the legislation enacted by Congress. I have been paying for the last 5 years on an income-driven repayment plan, but it's pretty much a lost cause as it's barely going down at all. The thing is I don't live in the US anymore and don't really have any plans to go back. I've read that the ramifications of not paying back my student loans could be one of the following: Wage Garnishment Bank Account Levy Property Lien Credit Report All of which I don't really care about the ramifications for. I don't have a property in the US, I don't have a wage in the US, and I don't have any credit in the US. I have dual citizenship in the US and the country I'm…
There’s no friends on the job
Everyone only likes you for your work don’t listen to their bullshit
Unrealistic tv
I’ve been watching “mentalist” and they operate in California. The show shows middle income people living alone in homes in Sacramento, LA, and San Francisco. Most unrealistic part of the show honestly.
