Does anybody fanticize about shooting up your workplace and inpatient people

I have or had homicidal thought about shooting up my workplace and impatient people but I don’t do it because it’s illegal and I would be ostracized. Who can relate? I’m on psych meds respridone and lexpro for depression and anxiety. I’m low iq as well 85 to 88.

Just another proof that loyalty NEVER gets rewarded

So, my dad recently retired after 25 years as head of a technical department in a local organisation. One of the guys who has been a part of his team for basically all those years made his ambitions quite clear in the last couple of years to become the new head of the department after my dad left. Now, that guy knows the organisation, the people and the way the department works far better than anyone else. So he would be the most logical successor. It sure as hell wouldn't require him much time to get used to the job. So, the board indeed offered him the function after my dad retired, but they offered him A HELL OF A LOT LESS than my dad was making. I just can't get my head around it. When you clearly have the best man for the job right in front of you…

I used to love my job

I'm 29M, started working as a software engineer 5y ago. I'm good at it and I used to love what I do. But after a couple of toxic experiences, I came to understand how meaningless it is to spend your whole life working hard to pay taxes, bills and afford rent without finding the time to enjoy what you really like. even the weekends, I spend it sleeping to recompensate because of the tiring working days. I find myself now without passtion to perform or do anything, I just want to stop this shit but unfortunately that could not happen since I have to bring food on the table. Is it just me or this life is unfair?

Can my boss imply that we’re not allowed to sit?

Recently at my job my store manager has been hiding all of the office chairs in a room so no one could use them. I didn’t hear it from her but apparently she said people were sitting in them, which… is the purpose of a chair. So I can only assume she believes employees are sitting in them too much. I just find it odd that rather than speaking w us about being in the office less or something of the like, she hides the chairs? What’s most annoying is that she keeps her own chair to sit in for her entire shift (she’s rarely outside the office, always sitting at her computer, doesn’t help on the floor like other store managers do) but she won’t let anyone else sit down? My coworker has been defiant and pulls the chairs back out to use (as most of us are standing,…

Boss dragging me after I handed in my resignation.

I’ve been with my current company for just over a year, and it’s been a rough ride. From the moment I stepped foot into the company I felt I made a mistake, and have been struggling ever since. My boss came back from vacation yesterday and was right back at it with her micromanaging, and general nastiness while I was in a in person meeting with a client. I decided then and there I was done and let her know I was handing my two weeks in. Well, that has not gone well… She has unleashed a entire email pretty much dragging me on how I should have been written up numerous times, everyone complains about me, and she cannot do a good job on her work because of me. Unbeknownst to me, this is not information she’s ever shared with me prior to this. I’m unsure how to proceed…

struggling with guilt when workload is light

I’m (23f) still fairly new to the workforce, though I’ve had internships all throughout college and worked in high school. I’ve been at my current job almost a year and I genuinely enjoy my coworkers and the projects I get to work on. I work in digital marketing and have for several years. My issue is that I feel insane guilt to the point of crying or having a panic attack in the bathroom when I don’t have anything to do at work, or if I’m taking it easy for a day. The nature of my industry means that there are busy times of the month but the middle two weeks tend to be more relaxed. I’m still in an entry level position so I have a light workload some weeks where I definitely don’t have 8 hours of work a day. I try to do relevant research or take…

I’m glad I left my last job

I was severely underpaid. They kept me as an intern for an ENTIRE YEAR. And there wasn't anyone who could replace me. I am at the very least a very good 3D artist. They didn't have any one else to do what I did, nor could they find one. They paid me 20k a month as an intern and every time I brought up employment they kept talking about how the company is reorganizing and not hiring and this and that, while they literally hired new designers in my same team, and other departments as well. Fast forward to September last year I got hired and the salary was… Saddening. It said thag my monthly income was just 27k before deductions, and the HR talked like I was dispensable when I asked for a proper pay. When I asked how much I'd get after deductions, she kept avoiding the question.…

What would you do in my situation

So recently I was transferred to another position in the company that I work for without any input on my part. I was working a 50 hour week for a boss that I can't stand and it was physically demanding. I now work for a much laid back boss in a job that is definitely more mentally taxing but it's only 40 hours a week. The one thing trying to work out is that the lose of overtime has made a huge impact to what I make as I still make the same hourly rate. I also have the feeling of the company not really caring about how it affects me, which doesn't shock me. I really like what I'm doing now and I know that I probably can't find a job doing the same thing as a beginner making what I'm making now. I have a lot of applications…

Non-Compete Clause Question

So my wife had applied for a job and has already gone through 2 interviews. Today she was scheduled for a 3rd and final interview, however she was notified that the interview was canceled. They said that while she would have been great for the position, the company she is currently employed with and the company she had applied for, have a “do not compete clause regarding employees.” Is this a common practice? She never signed non-compete docs at her current job and has never been told that this was even a thing.

The Billionaires don’t actually believe they will survive climate change? Right?

If anything, their own staff would turn on them. No society is more than three meals away from revolution, so the saying goes.
