The boss makes a dollar, I make a dime, That's why I shit on company time. That was a rhyme from a simpler time, Now the boss makes a STACK For my measly cent, And I can't afford rent after the food that I've spent, So while the boss sails his yacht, Looking like a clown, I'll be in the office, Taking everything that's not nailed down.

Don’t really know what else I can do but quit. I’ve told him on many occasions that I don’t want to be filmed for social media content building things. It’s like a 20 second video with 5 different jump cuts for a final result at the end. Mid sections have me not knowing he’s filming while I work on his projects. Not sure how my other colleagues feel about it bur it’s frustrating not consenting to things and people just still keep doing it. This social media thing on building sites is starting to piss me off. Do your own stuff it’s cool but don’t include me in it.

I just watched my wife spend the first 6 hours of her work day doing laundry, baking muffins, walking the dog, reading a book, and basically everything but working at her desk. Then I get to listen to her bemoan the fact that her employer assigns her more work than she has time for every week.
Highly recommend buying tubes/parts/gear anywhere other than Tube Depot… They overcharge like crazy and a friend who worked there told me they fired him after giving him 3 raises and a promotion in one year. The last raise they received was 4 months into their new position. They fired my friend via text! My friend asked for specifics and why there was no performance meeting and was instead given a raise. No response. My friend then filed for unemployment and an agent from the state DoL called them and said that the DoL had no record of them working there, and that TD didn’t report their wages to the Department of Labor. They sent proof of the direct deposits made from Tube Depot, Llc. Their customer service is horrible and the owner is apparently a mean drunk who threatened to fight my friend and mocked his salary. Scummy business all…
Not a day goes by that I don't see a post on this and a number of other subreddits talking about how we should make billionaires pay their fair share and or even funnier that for ” every dollar over a billion we should take the rest of their money for the public good. These statements show a complete misunderstanding of the monetary system, markets, economics and banking. I would agree entirely that these people need to pay their fair share and are not contributing to the degree that they're gaining but it's just not as simple as moat of you think when they say someone is a billionaire that does NOT mean that they have a billion dollars just sitting in a bank account, it only means that they own a variety of assets between property and stock and cash holdings that add up to a billion dollars. Jeff…
*update* After I confronted my boss this morning and he sent me back to my desk, he called me back in two hours later and had HR on the phone reading my last rites. So I'm thinking he didn't consult HR beforehand and they told him he needs to fire me today. Calling some more lawyers today and filing for unemployment. Thank you to everyone who replied, still seeking any advice on the matter though! There's a couple pieces to this issue so I'll try to be as succinct and clear as I can…. My boss has always disliked me after he absorbed my department from a mass layoff. Bad attitude, rude, tanked my performance review, etc. He even bad mouthed me to another dept so they wouldn't accept my transfer request. I reported a coworker to HR a few weeks ago for some racist behavior. HR investigated, closed the…
As title says, I work in IT and have 3 years of experience and make decent money. Back in April I was brought into my boss' office suddenly where he eventually got to the point of saying that 'people are complaining about your pay' and that I need to tell him who've I've discussed my compensation with at the company. My initial thought was, 'its none of your business if I told anyone or not.' My second thought was 'why are you entertaining conversation with my coworkers (in a different department I'm assuming) about my compensation?' I've always believed a managers only legal response to someone asking about someone else's pay is, “its none of your business.” So recently, because I've put in my two weeks notice, I've gotten the full story when initially I wasn't told the real reason. Those of you with labor law experience, do I have…
