I’m in shock. I had no warnings or anything they said somebody internal he was replacing me was that why?
Squidward was right, all along.
People are just fed up, period.

So I have been in this job for almost two years, and today my boss decides to call me into their office and decided to reprimand me over, get this, a word processing issue. They stated that I had broke their trust and that I had INTENTIONALLY ignored their orders on how to fix this document that was sent my way. I was put on the spot and it felt like I was in an interrogation room, so all I could do was just nod my head yes. When all was said and done, I go back pissed off about everything that was said to me. They made it out to seem that I was trying to sabotage them by sending this document back without starting from the ground up. I was also pretty ticked off since up until now, I had never heard ONE POSITIVE COMMENT feom them since…
Hey there all. First time poster, long time lurker. I honestly don't know if I'm looking for advice or just venting, but any thoughts help! I started a job as a scheduler for a company that provides in-home caregivers for seniors, mostly working with the VA. Sounds like a job doing good, right? In theory, yes. And there are lot of people that we're helping out. However, I've noticed an ongoing trend of the other schedulers just changing the schedules of clients and caregivers without talking to them first. Basically, they make changes that work best for filling in any open shifts, and only mention it to people after the changes are made. Changes don't work for the client? Too bad, that means you're not getting a caregiver today. Changes don't work for the caregiver? Too bad, looks like you're not getting paid for these shifts now. My first thought…
Childhood bully is now my employee
Okay, so yeah, I started a new program at work. I'm a supervisor. We met our teams and my childhood bully was a member of the team. Whether she is on my team remains to be seen, but we are going to be in the same building 5 days a week. To compound issues even further, after childhood, I dated an awful guy. As it turned out, he was having an affair with the bullies grandmother. He got arrested after I had to call the police on him. While he was in jail, the grandmother was following me around town and telling them where I was going and wearing and such. He would call from jail and give me a recap of my day. Mind you, I was pregnant at the time. I had a restraining order against him for 2 years. We have a child together, but he's a…
CEOs Contradict Data When It Suits Them
Was reading this and thought that it was pretty clear what the reasons are for them wanting to ban remote work. They don't want to lose a sense of control or let us think that we can have nice things. They don't want us to get too independent, even if it means we aren't as efficient. I guess when you have millions and billions, you aren't as worried about what happens if a company should tank. At least, your investors aren't worried. The leech just moves on to another host. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/study-study-shows-working-home-130000724.html
Okay so I (20F) started a new job in February. It is my first factory job, I have since been promoted and have been training for this new position for 2 months. It is very stressful and while I have a few friends the culture is toxic. The people who have been there forever are assholes with no consequences and will not hesitate to bring tiny mistakes straight to management. I have severe depression and anxiety. I get overwhelmed easily and we just had to up my medication due to continued panic attacks. (Small mistakes during my training with no real consequences in production turn into getting called into the supervisors office. I'm not exaggerating, I got called in for leaving a forklift with half battery. I cried in the freezer a few weeks ago before going to the locker room to call my mom for support) I call into…
