He suggested me a role via linkedin and asked me for a quick call and also my salary info. Since Ive shared it, he didnt reply. On the zoom interview day, he didnt come up. My time and information has been wasted. Ive sent an email to him what the f is going on and he never replied. I noticed they now hired someone to the role. I want to complain about this officially. What is the best way?

Out of the countries with big population, only the U.S. has GDP per capita 20% higher than Germany, however at a staggering cost of 35% more hours of work per year. If the Germans were keen on working as long hours as Americans, then Germany's GDP per capita would be 13% higher than the productivity of Americans and near the very top of all countries. Conclusion? Less can be more and “hard work” and “long working hours” do not necessarily mean better and higher productivity. We should all work less (but smarter) because the proof is in the pudding!
Maternity leave vent
I am very lucky. I will get 6-8 weeks of paid sick leave after having my baby and 12 weeks of paid parental leave guaranteed. I also just hit 15 years at my job which means I’m now making a ridiculous amount of annual leave for the US- about 5 weeks. I didn’t use much leave during the beginning of the pandemic so rolled over the maximum amount of leave going into the new year-240 hrs or 6 weeks of leave. I found out in February that I was pregnant so I started saving my leave so I could use as much as possible to add to my maternity leave. I’ve used almost no annual leave this year so asked to use the 5 weeks I accrued this year, and will lose if I don’t get to use them, and then most of the leave I accrue during my parental…
Where I work, the pressure for delivery quantity and quality is only increasing since last year. I raised concerns about life and work balance with the RH due to my team colleagues been working extra hours everyday and often working at weekends. There are no physical boundaries, since we all work remotely. The RH took a couple of days to give me an answer, until they finally came back to me and said there are no clauses in the employment contract saying a collaborator can't work extra hours if they want to. Therefore, they wouldn't do anything about it. What is your opinion about this? Am I been too naive to think there is something wrong when most of my colleagues works 2 to 3 additional hours a day? In addition, it's clear the management compares team members with each other when evaluating them on reviews. It's the same as…
Was let go from a position with out notice a few weeks ago just got last paycheck and other one 2 days after I was let go some odd things I was wondering about do they have to pay me my vacation days they say we have 4 weeks of vacation to use a year I only used 10 days this year and they did not pay me out it in my last check which is rubbing me wrong I emailed them and they said some bs about since vacation is not accrued they do not pay it out do I need to send them a legal notice or just report them to the dept of labor? Or is this even an option. Just wondering what I should do forward beyond applying for unemployment benefits.
Story goes like this: I got hired to cover a bartender who was leaving at my job, but they ended up staying with the team and they already have several bartenders so I'm not going to be working a lot. I got told when I was hired I'd be working most days or almost full time and now I've had my start date put off 4 times (14th, 16th, 21st, 27th). I'm going to keep applying to other jobs and try to find something better but I'm so frustrated because none of this was communicated to me and I'm not being prioritized because of an admin mix up. I need full time hours and being blindsided like this is just so frustrating when I was told otherwise during the job interview.
I serve at a restaurant and have a coworker who we’ll call Dan. I’m 25F and just got hired 3 months ago, officially started working 2 months ago. Dan is 45M and has worked there for 11 years. Dan was super cool and so nice to me all throughout my training and beyond. He was funny, helpful, and never made me feel anything other than supported during my first month. 2 nights ago after I got off work at around 11 pm, I went to a local bar that a lot of my coworkers go to after work. Dan had been there/drinking since 4 pm. Long story short, he immediately asked to have sex when I sat at the bar, grabbed my breasts, told me to kill myself if I wouldn’t have sex with him, and grabbed me pretty aggressively leaving bruises. He was kicked out and I immediately went…
