Flying out of my province for a job interview that I have no salary details on. Flipped it and reversed it into ghosting them.

F35, married, 1 child who is 16. I got shortlisted for a position in a fairly niche field in a my industry. I have a job history that allows me to fulfil a role in operations and risk management as I’ve worked on most levels in my industry and I usually know how things work on a day to day level, that often gets overlooked when C Suite decides to implement a grandiose plan. I am (was) one of 3 candidates. I live out of the province that the office is in, and would be setting up new systems and processes, which would mean at least 6 months on site. Perfectly ok with this, I’d commute and my family is on board. However, I suggested a screening interview via teams because I did not know if I’d be a fit for the management team, they’re guys my age and I…

Customer got hurt because of our sales pitch

I've never even had a job where I had metaphorical blood on my hands. Today it was literal. Earlier this summer, I lost my old job of 4 years and subsequently took the first one I was offered a few weeks later. The job is with a hospitality giant, in their timeshare division. My job is to post up in various touristy locations around the city that are owned by said hospitality giant and literally flag people down and convince them to come to a timeshare presentation. Of course we offer incentives, which are legitimately pretty good. I knew the industry had a bad reputation going in. But I needed a job. And everyone I met was super nice and professional. And yeah, the wave the prospect of a lot of money in front of you. So I decided to give it a go. I was assigned to a restaurant…

The possibility of an opposite to Andrew Tate

Andrew tate has surely been a key player in the Alt-right mind war. I see more often then not IRL people praising his views. Not to get into a tangent about his father being in the CIA psyop program. Which is an abstract concept to think about in regards to successful controlling people. I do think about the reality if there was more of a progressive version of him. To be used in a more rational manner. Buts neither here or there of possibly outcomes.

A friend of mine was forced to give a feeding tube with no prior training

Literally title. A friend of mine showed up for her first shift at a group home for developmentally disabled adults and was told by the staff she was relieving that she'd be alone for the majority of her shift with 4-5 clients and that one of them had to have a feeding tube around dinner time. Then that staff left, without giving any instruction or training on how to administer a feeding tube. Is this something this company can get in trouble for?

I got fired, started a business, and now I’m firing my OG employee.

TLDR: I got fired during the pandemic (2020), started my digital consultant company, hired a person online to WFH, generated $1m+ in sales to date, fired her today for completing work. I can't share this anywhere else and just wanna know your thoughts on this. In 2020, I got fired by a big company during the pandemic. I was unemployed for a few months and started my own consultant company. I got a lot of clients from my past work and needed help so I hired a remote worker (very eager and fast learner, fresh college graduate). I paid her $15/hr. She stepped up her game and helped me tremendously getting high-end clients. After 3 months, I increased her pay to $30/hr. We made a total of 250k in rev that year. Our work dynamic was pretty good and we work well together. We're both happy. All is…

How Can/should I request sick leave from one of my jobs?

I M53 work in two jobs part time doing similar jobs at separate schools (different age ranges). One of them the work is tougher but I'm treated better though I work in isolation (I'm the only one teaching these levels in my subject so no team to bounce with) the other has a great tight knit capable department team teaching younger age range but the working environment outside it is causing my mental health to plummet. What I want to do is take a temporary escape from the toxic younger aschool with the great team I work with but stick with the older more professional working environment but isolated role. FYI I work in Sweden at Högstadiet and Gymnasium levels so High School age range split as separate entitles in different jurisdictions. How can I get sick leave for mental health reasons from one but remain working at the other?

Tired of being broke

I just got paid yesterday and have $57 left in my account until 3 weeks from now. I want to cry, I want to give up. I work a good sales job at a well known telecommunications and technology company, and make over 77k per year. I don’t know what to do and I’ve been applying places like shipt and DoorDash but haven’t heard anything back. Help?

Rescinded offer after negotiating

I just went through one of the worst hiring experiences ever. I applied for a job as a public relations specialist. Research for the position in central ohio was between $45,000 and $75,000 per year. On my application I put I wanted to make $65,000. I had to take a writing and editing test and three interviews. Finally got the offer of $55,000. Asked for a day to talk it over with family and countered at $65,000. Basically, I said I knew there were alot of things to consider and that I'm sure we could find an outcome that would work for all in a very polite email. They called today and rescinded the offer. I think that was unprofessional considering they knew I wanted that upfront. Why put me through all the interviews if you didn't have what I wanted or why not just say that's all you could…
