European companies hiring Americans for remote work?

Does anyone have any suggestions of European companies that will hire Americans for remote work? I'm putting in applications and thought I would give it a go if they exist.

Falsifying Timecard

Question: Manager removed 8 hours that I already worked from my timecard before immediately sending to HR and no plan to tell me. This decreased me from 88 to 80hrs. Managers gaslighting and manipulation has me confused and I’m wondering if this should be reported to the department of labor in Oregon. Manager claims I will now be paid for 89 hours as they supposedly told payroll to add 4.5 hours of overtime to the incorrect 80 hours, wouldn’t my actual 88 hrs worked mean more overtime and more pay? It all seemed so shady and has left me confused as far as next steps to take. I have my original timecard saved as well as the one what was submitted Backstory: I brought concerns up to a “manager” of our tiny office of 6 staff regarding the hostile work environment I was experiencing since returning from ADA leave due…

Co-worker’s job was posted as an opening two weeks ago…

Some background: This year we've gone through multiple audits and currently have an accounting firm basically running our finance department for the last few months now. They are overhauling everything that the company has done for the last 15 years. A few weeks ago it was announced our boss will be seeking a new opportunity and leaving the company. He either decided to finally quit with all that's been going on or was forced out. Today I noticed that his job and my co-worker's jobs are both posted as job openings. Do I mention it to her? Does she already know and is leaving too? We feel like we've been in the dark with everything going on. Do I just ignore it?

Hired 2 months ago as WFH Employee – Now forced to go in office

2 months ago, I was hired at a startup as a Hybrid employee required to go in office 2-3 days a week. Today, I received an email from the CEO saying that anyone within a 75 minute commute is required to come in Monday through Thursday and WFH Fridays. What should I do? A major reason I even accepted this new job was the flexible working policy. There was no mention of a potential change down the line. This has put a terrible taste in my mouth. I work in tech sales so the job market is terrible right now and am not confident I could quickly get a job elsewhere. Would love to hear some thoughts.

Settling into new job I love with upcoming salary negotiation. Need tips for negotiations.

First time making a post on this sub. Back in May I finally got an office job where feel happy in. I feel like my boss supports and listens to me, I have coworkers who are nice and professional. And have been getting a lot of praise. I work for a psychiatric medical group in the corporate office. Of course the job isn’t perfect but I feel like my main reasons for hating jobs in the past are perfect here. Like I mentioned before. The pay is small, 18/hr starting. (For Bay Area, CA) as it is wildly expensive here still and only gets more expensive. I cannot afford rent, and am still paying off out of pocket medical bills. I do get decent benefits, the health insurance is fantastic with tons of options and perfect for me and 80% by work. But the pay is the smallest I’ve had…

Leave early? How early?

Been at this job 6 weeks, liking it. Work remote half the week, had a Google meet with boss to go over projects, she mentioned how I have everything wrapped up so I can take off early since it's friday. We moved on to a couple things for next week and leave it at that. So how early do I leave? I'm salary, don't clock out, usually shoot boss message see you Monday enjoy the weekend.

Getting Charged Back Vacation Time?

I recently told my boss I am quitting my job to move to a different state as my fiance got a job on the other side of the country. I asked if I get paid back my unused sick days and he said no, but actually we'll charge your last pay check for vacation days that you didn't accrue. I worked for a full year at this job and only have 2 weeks of PTO. I know PA is a shitty state that doesn't care about this but I feel as if it's insane to make me pay back 33% of my vacation days. Not asking for advice, just venting.

I keep getting toxic managers and I am burnt out and tired of crying

Hi all, This won’t be that long but I need to vent to people who understand. I am 31year old female living in Ireland. Qualified individual with a degree in tourism and qualifications in hotel management and ability to speak different languages. Ever since I moved to Ireland, my life has been really good in every aspect apart from work. I always managed to find jobs but all the job managers were toxic AF. Now maybe you guessed it, I work in a Hotel and I have been working in hotels for now 10+ years and i have been trying so hard to get out of it but can’t. I just attract hotel managers. Last week I got called out because I was late 4 minutes to work. I am always on time or punctual usually so I got so annoyed when the manager started berating me how “ you’re…

Is there a chance?

Hi all! I know I’m definitely not the usual demographic of this sub so apologies is this is the wrong place to have this conversation . I’m 16 years old and working in my first paid job (I have a year of retail volunteering experience). I currently work in a pub. I get 11 hours a week at £6.50 per hour and I was planning on asking for a pay raise but my family seem to think I’m being ridiculous. Firstly, I work in horrible conditions. During my shift today I saw the thermometer hit 38 degrees C (100 degrees f). Due to my short shifts (3.5 and 4 hours) I get no breaks from the heat. My responsibilities include taking food to customers, washing dishes, making some starters(appetisers), making all salads, plating food, making all deserts, polishing cutlery, peeling vegetables. It just feels like a lot of work for…
