Is there a website or Internet forum where talks like that could begin? Strike has been on a lot of people’s minds for a long time. The American government has gotten out of hand. I know this can be done, it is so obviously possible but it needs a focused effort and a plan for every step.

Tldr: my boss is taking advantage of me and it paying sometimes less than minimum wage for upwards of 60 hours a week. I work at a small diner in a small town, and I have a lot of responsibilities. I am both a cook and a waitress. I buss and wash tables, wash dishes, AND I'm in charge of running out POS system (which also means that I run payroll according to my boss's instructions). At first I really liked the job, it was super easy and really low maintenance, plus I got free food. Over the 2 years I worked there I had seen a lot of things and have met a lot of people. I work in a car dealership as a mechanic, and I've been in this company for a little over a year. About a month or two ago, I was promoted from the express lane to the main shop as a transmission tech apprentice. I thought I would really enjoy the work, but I've grown to despise it, and here's why: The company I work for feels corrupt as fuck. The upper management are totally out of touch with the lower people on the pole, and often treat us like trash. My direct manager I love, and he fights for us techs, but hardly ever makes any headway due to the stubborn upper management. I (23) am working two jobs right now, one is an americorp service job and another is a coffee/tea shop. I want to quit the tea shop because it is not working out for me and with the americorp job that has now started (had to wait until august for it to start and i started the tea shop in july as a part-time thing), I haven’t gotten the hang of it yet and I can’t study and remember the recipes and prepping bc i only work weekends now and im so busy with the Americorp one; i dont like the tea shop pay, and the manager who trained me left for a month vacation. She asked when she transferred to her new job when insurance would kick in and they told her 60 or 90 days so she asked recently again as it has been a little over 60 day. Now they tell her you either apply for it at 30 days or forgo your right to it and wait for “enrollment day”. Is this even legal? We only have some of this in writing as they were weird and wanted to talk in person about it.

To give some background, I recently got hired to a clinical position recently. It's my first full time job that I've ever gotten, and it's my first exposure to the professional world. It's honestly a pretty good position to start at: lower average pay for someone in my major but much higher than my last job, excellent experience for my field for resume building, benefits are nice, etc. Despite that though, I've been wracked with stress and anxiety about getting to this point in my life, constantly in fear about adjusting to the professional world and living a boring, unfufilling life of a “busy professional”, especially with the way the world is now.
