Found the number for “opt out today” (anti union organization)

This is the number: (833)228-4969 So this group “opt out today” has been targeting union members and sending letters about how to drop out of the union. “Opt out today” is part of the “freedom foundation” – a right wing group funded by CEOs and billionaires. They’ve been getting contact information of millions of union members and sending misleading and harassing letters urging members to drop out of the union. Their latest letter is titled “critical legal update” starts with “LEGAL NOTICE: immediate response to this notice requested”, it basically provides a fillable form for members to fill out and drop the union. It is very misleading and very deceptive. I just got a copy of it today. Anyways, the letter has their phone number. I already left them a message telling them to fuck off and die. Not telling you to do the same thing, but here’s their number.…

We served over a thousand orders with only 4 people in the store

I work at a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, and usually during closing and overnight shifts, there are only 3-4 people in the store after 10 pm (The shift manager, one front, and two back) The store owner purposely understaffs people during that time as in her own words, “Kids are cheaper to pay”. Its usually mostly managable as weekdays are quiet enough, but today there was a sports game and the store got crazy at about 9 pm. A round of about 50 people came in the store, 5 cars at drive through, and at least 10-15 deliveries simultaneously while the store only had 4 people. During this time, a customer got into an argument with the shift manager and I was left doing front counter all by myself while handling drive through at the same time and about 7 angry uber drivers yelling at me. Worst part? orders…

It’s disheartening to see how lavish a lifestyle your boss lives while you’re struggling to stay afloat

Title. I understand they own the business, but it’s the lack of raises and not paying living wages that gets to me.

My wife is being terrorized by a bully boss, should she submit a formal grievance?

My wife is coming home in tears after another day of abuse from her boss. He yells, screams, shouts, swears, and lies to to her every day. She works as an Office Manager in a large office building for a leading employer in our small town. Yes, I know she should just quit and leave the abuse behind her. Not so easy in our small town where we are trapped because we live hundreds of miles from a large city with lots of jobs. She needs to hold out a few more years to be eligible for her pension and then Social Security. But her mental health may not last that long. She has tried keeping her head down and redoubling her work performance, but that has just made it worse. There is a formal grievance process at the company and an open door policy where employees can meet with…

My boss advised my co-worker not to speak to or associate with me

For context, this started probably 2 weeks ago, when I came in at 7:05, our company policy says that you aren't late until 6 minutes after your scheduled clock in time. As I'm clocking in my boss calls me out in front of everyone, stating “everyone remember the daily huddle starts at 7 sharp, don't be late” to which I sighed and clocked in, then lo and behold, less than a week later she shows up late at 7:05, to which i jokingly say “You know the huddle starts at 7” where she immediately gets hyper offended, saying “okay just call me out in front of everyone then!” Later that same day she corners me in the break room, going on a long rant about how she wasn't late, something came up, she's a hard worker, she comes in at 530 every morning, yadda yadda yadda. So two days ago…

Why is HR always passive-aggressive and virtually everyone hates them?

HR is so misleading because you'd think “Human Resources” would help the employees, but no all they are is the company's watch dog and also the snitch and they have a lot of power to terminate out of nowhere. But why are they always so passive-aggressive? I hate that shit.

Was I the queen of tardiness this whole time??

Boss asks – more like reprimanded – me to come 15-30 minutes early for work. From the very beginning (I'm talking about for more than 5 years), my clock starts at 9:30 am. He outta nowhere raised his voice at me today, asking me to come earlier. He claims that I always come at 9:30 am sharp when that is no way in hell true, tf. My average arrival time at work is 9:20-9:24, and I'm not even exaggerating on this. Our office is not a place where people have workloads the moment they get in. Our office is, in fact, a place where you only do real tasks 1-2hrs a day. Most of the time, I am idle. While it is true that he is always early, that's because he lives literally in the same bldg! I travel by train for 20 minutes – not that I am trying…

Got fired for “no reason given”. This has to stop.

I was an operations manager at a busy hotel. I was Ops for almost 2 years. I got promoted after 8 months of front desk only and loved my job. It was demanding and I had to cover shifts constantly. I sacrificed all my free time to make sure I was available. My front desk supervisor, who has issues, called out over 50 times in the almost 2 years. I covered every single shift. I would routinely work night audit (11p-7a) and then run breakfast 6:30a-9:30a. I would run housekeeping during our 4 separate times of not having a head housekeeper. All while making sure we had enough laundry. We failed our first brand inspection last year and I worked tirelessly to make the hotel perfect for this years. Which was 2 weeks ago. I worked 10 hours to count all the linens in the hotel then came back to…
