Normalize calling out dumb ways employers whip their employees

Everyone is f*cking faking it in the workplace. Before I got fired I genuinely believed I was the worst employee because of my workplace constantly making me feel bad. Many months later it eventually came out my work colleagues and boss did far worse things than I have done

This year at 25 years old I got fired from my first ever full time job since graduating university. Before I got fired I really struggled with the job role because of the bureaucracy, extremely challenging customer/client base, unsupportive workplace , two faced work colleagues and I struggled to fit in from day 1 . I really wanted to be a good employee My personality stood a lot too at work which made it harder to fit in with the workplace crowd and management. My work colleagues were older than me 30+ with partners and children, quiet etc whereas I am very outgoing, love adventure and naturally outspoken. My colleagues in Teams meetings will talk about the football match they watched over the weekend whereas my weekend is spent visiting places and doing activities. One month into the job I got labelled a workplace trouble maker because I upset an…

Company didn’t give data to insurance company

International student in Germany (M 29) here. I worked under Adecco for 1 month here (for Amazon FRAX). Recently I left the job due to their behaviour and other stuffs. Today my health insurance company called and said my previous employer (Adecco) only showed to the insurance company that I worked with them for 1 day. Whereas I worked for them for 1 month. It is stated in their experience letter. Insurance company told me to contact Adecco and fix this issue. I tried to reach them but as expected. These people are not responding. What can I do in this situation?

No breaks of ANY kind?

Today I learned the State of Missouri does not require employers to provide a break of ANY kind, including lunch. This is left up to the employer. Question for the people of Missouri… Is this the general consensus with employers in the state? Do they actually deny break or lunch to their employees? Lunch break is generally unpaid anyway, so I can't imagine any company would be doing this in the year 2023. I am in disbelief. I am very curious to hear from you.

Company being weird after workers comp but now asking me to come back

Got injured at work. Took some time off through workers comp. workers comp got me to ask work for back to work plan. Work says they don’t have any more shifts and then sends me my record of employment so that I can file for EI. I ask a few times if there’s any more shifts and they ignore it. They hit me up a month later asking if I want to take 2 weeks worth of shifts completing a task that I was working on before Part of me wants to just get in there and get paid and part of me feels like I shouldn’t go back. What to do?

My dad was fired for “fraud” after working for his company for 2 years

My dad was a 2nd shift supervisor at a warehouse for nearly 2 years and today he was let go on bogus claims of fraud. They claim he changed hours that my brother had worked on days he missed work. For context my brother worked under my dad as a forklift driver but he would ultimately end up switching to 1st shift due to claims of favoritism from some employees. Since my brother had just recently changed shift, my dad still had access to his hours on the payroll website. My brother missed work on Monday and Wednesday of last week and my dad submitted the weeks payroll that Friday. They claim that changes to the hours were made on Sunday from his account. The only ones with access to his account are my dad and the plant manager. My dad says he didn’t make the changes and he would…

Would a job where you sometimes work 7 days a week and don’t even get regular hours be worth it to you?

Why are there so few worker co-ops

As the title implies, there seems to be a lack of worker co-ops among all sectors. In my country, they are fairly common in the farming industry but that's it. Is there a systematic discrimination against them or is there a 'flaw' within the structure itself?
