For context I work at Jewel Osco as a cashier and it is hell. From computers that won't register coupons that customers clip, to a wildly inconsistent schedule that makes me think the manger is just throwing darts at a board. However the main thing that takes the cake is how we work 8 hours an only get two 15 minute breaks. We can't even go to the bathroom without asking. There needs to be some sort of change but I'm too shy to ask. EDIT: for those asking I live in Illinois and I'm sometimes scheduled to work a full shift, sometimes part time shift.

Basically title says. I interviewed with this company, went through 2 interview processes. I was sent a job offer 30 minutes after the 2nd interview. I’m ecstatic as it is a 40% pay increase of my current job. I accept, give my two weeks notice to my current employer and what not. I completed the onboarding HR sent me and signed everything last week. Two days ago, which would make a week exactly since I signed the offer letter, I get an email saying they would not be able to move forward with my offer due to “internal changes they had to remove the open position, but will keep my resume on file.” I am at a loss for words because I JUST put my two weeks in. I begged my boss to try and keep me at my current employer but she told me HR could do nothing about…
I will quit on the 90th day to be exact This is another dead-end customer support job. Dead end. No thanks. I am completing my psych degree. I just need the money. Training is a joke. Lol. I dgaf about this BS job.
I asked for a raise, got declined. Applied and found another job that gave me the raise I had. Gave 2 weeks notice. Boss told me my raise was approved now. You mother fuckers! You think I wanna work for you now? It wasn't like I was being greedy I just wanted a raise to match inflation but noooo you wanted to play this stupid fucking game of “decline the raise and see what happens”

If you look at every industry you see the same BS: exploitation, greed at the top, people suffering, wage slavery. I know people post about general stikes and all that, but what will it take for people to wake up? I work in Healthcare so I add moral injury to my list because I see people die literally every day because the system is so fucked.
Looking at all the posts from people applying to 1,000's of job's and getting ghosted by recruiters, made me reflect on how different the job market was just 10 years ago. Ten years ago my close friend group all started out careers, and they was the story of each hire: – MO applied to about 20 jobs total, and received a job offer from company that contracts to Microsoft. – BG got a job in marine engineering after applying to around 20 different companies in his field in the area. – JK got a job offer in his logistics specialty after applying to about a dozen companies in his field. – JB got a job in civil engineering after one application and one interview (was ridiculous then as well). – I remember all these details because I myself was the outlier having applied to around 90 different companies, before getting…
The CUSTOMER had my back!
I still have a headache, but the most amazing thing happened today. I work as a cashier at a liquor store. I had a terrible migraine today, but I can't afford to miss a day of work. A lady comes to check out, pays, leaves, and then comes back. My boss sees her coming back with the receipt in her hands and immediately plants himself next to me. The lady kindly tells me that I forgot to charge her for the bottle of wine. As I went to get the bottle to scan it, my boss sighs loudly and says “she had TWO items and you managed to fuck that up?” and told the lady that since it was my mistake, she could go. At this point I was near tears. My head was pounding and I was about to pay for a $50 bottle of wine that I couldn't…
