I am often forgetful with my time punches at work.

I got hired at a Dollar General as an Assistant Store Manager about 6 months ago. In that time I have been through 3 store managers. Currently, we do not have a store manager at my location. I have worked many jobs, but this is my first retail job. And my first manager position. Since our store can't seem to hold a store manager, I have not had proper training on anything. But, through it all I have self taught myself on the day to day operations. As of right now, we have a store manager from another location doing our schedule for us. I am often forgetful with my time punches at work, and the manager who is in charge of approving payroll is pretty annoyed by this, as I'm not the only one who forgets at my store. My upcoming check is going to be 10 hours short…

Job Hunting For A Year+

As it says on the tin, I've been stuck in a job hunting hell loop for over a year now. I got out of college and have been hunting since before finals ended. I've long since stopped applying just in my industry. I've stopped caring about in person and remote. I've just been trying to find literally anything. I've applied in person and online. I've gone to interviews and experienced every kind of scam or hateful bullshit on the market. It has been a nigh endless level of hell here in Oregon, and I have at times been forced to beg my family for help with my rent. Does anyone have some advice at this point? I'm just getting so tired and exhausted with the whole situation at this point.

Co-worker issues

Ugh, my co-worker is just unbearable! They act like they know everything and never miss a chance to criticize others. It's like they thrive on making everyone else feel inadequate. And don't even get me started on their laziness – they're always looking for ways to shirk their responsibilities and pass the workload onto others. It's so frustrating having to deal with their attitude every single day. I wish they would just grow up and start acting like a responsible team player instead of a constant source of irritation.

My work still puts us down as “absent” when we offer to work from home when ill.

I need to know whether I’m overreacting about this. I was very ill yesterday in work, and today I find out I have covid. I called in to say I’m ill but I am happy to work from home even though I feel awful, just so I 1) don’t infect anyone 2) don’t leave the team short as we’re having some staffing issues. I was told today that I’m not allowed to work from home, and that I must take it as a sick day if I’m not well enough to come in. This would have been fine for one day, but I want to be able to work if I’m feeling better but still testing positive without infecting my colleagues. Bare mind, not too long ago the whole team had meetings about our attendance and that we need to make sure we’re in work as much as possible. Given…

So how do I piss off my employer the most.

I will be leaving my job in October and for the time being I want to piss off my boss as much as possible in legal ways. Currently I am already only working when I'm told taking excessive toilet breaks 30min+ and talking a lot with my work colleagues. If it helps I'm from Germany.

Should I Leave The Company I Work At Because They Filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy?

Hey guys, throwaway account here for obvious reasons. I am currently a full-time employee who works for this company that started three months ago in my hometown. This company originated from the US and this is their first location in my area. I worked first as a contractor and became an employee with benefits. I, however, had not yet been paid for my first invoice as a contractor and that was probably two months ago (I should’ve noticed the first red flag, huh) Well, according to a meeting I had with my CEO, apparently we were struggling with money since June and this struggled to pay the contractors. Luckily I only did a week worth of work as a contractor. I fortunately got paid (with a slight delay of 3 days) for my hours recently, but now I am afraid that what if they can’t pay the employees? So should…

My performance is good. Only reason I am not being promoted because my team didn’t do well!!

So, I have been at this company for 2 years, I have worked on multiple projects. I also work off hours sometimes. Overall, my performance is good. From team lead to manager everybody accepts that and said so in my appraisal. Now, I am not being promoted. I can't think of a reason why?? Other thing to notice is that, my manager is promoted to associate director, team lead is promoted to associate manager. None of the engineers were promoted in my team. Other engineers did not receive as good as performance report as me. Ok, now. I was discussing this with team lead verbally and according to him, none of the engineers were promoted because as a team we are lacking. The reason of which is some big bug went unnoticed to prod and caused big issue, some other team member was responsible for coding and testing. Is it…

Salary wage advice

Hi hope this is the right place for my question. I have started with a company a while ago on a Salary wage not hourly. I was off sick for a week and was deducted a weeks wage. For what I understood about salary was that you shouldn't be docked if off sick, the guys I work with have said that's how it used to be but with new office staff that has changed in recent years. But if we have to work extra hour or so we get no extra pay Also we get the same wage for working a 5 week month as we do working a 4 week month, because it's supposed to be salary wage. I'm not sure how all the works I'm used to an hourly wage. But few of us feel like we are losing out to the company here and that we would…
