She said she wants to go to a restaurant in town with me and a few ex-coworkers (I got them fired). I need out and idk how to deal with the situation without setting her off. I cant afford to quit but I can't fucking stand her. There is also a pool party but j plan on saying I got called into my other job. I want to be upfront about not wanting to go to the dinner so she doesn't ask again but idk how.
Quick, 3 minute read for you history nerds. This election vied three hot candidates together for the position of mayor of NY, at the time America’s 1 great city. Being mayor here meant great power, especially for capital vs labor. Of course there were candidates for both republicans and democrats. Republicans nominated no other than Teddy Roosevelt while dems had their man with a background in business and ties to the Tammany Hall political machine. Neither were particularly strong candidates at the time, Teddy being rather young still at only 28 and Tammany Hall was known to be corrupt. The third contender was a pro labor party who nominated a man named Henry George. Henry George became famous as an author of economics who argued that it takes many poor men to make one rich man, that in fact progress creates poverty. As you might imagine he was hugely popular…
Stress Everyday
Sometimes, I love to pause and just breathe, especially when everyday life becomes too stressful.
Do I stay or go?
I am at a crossroads right now. My boss on a daily basis asks if “something is wrong with me”, has asked “if I was beaten as a child”, and tells me I have mental issues and do not listening. I NEVER had any issue like this, and this owner is like this with everyone. Should I try to just put up with it, or move on?

I worked my ass off securing interviews for candidates, losing sleep, sanity and no doubt gaining wrinkles. Today, HR congratulated my male colleague who barely lifted a finger. Cue me emailing how proud I was of pulling it all together despite the tricky deadline. Kept it professional but stressed how I played an integral role in this. I have seethed to my sibling and am so saltie. They don’t pay me enough and can barely even CONGRATULATE me for my achievements

department overturned
Torn on what to do and really need advice. My coworker put in their two weeks notice yesterday, they don’t have anything lined up but have already started applying. We’ve both been dissatisfied due to the lack of proper training/onboarding, ever growing list of responsibilities (with minimal to no guidance on how tasks should be accomplished), and a very heavy workload. When we were hired the company was aware of our lack of industry knowledge but we had transferable skills/experience for the role. I started applying to other roles over a month ago because I was put on a PIP and have been interviewing. Multiple questions: Should I take a job that isn’t the ideal role (doesn’t align with career/professional goals but offers benefits and a better WLB) but that would get me OUT of this current company/role? Even if I’m continuing to apply/look for other jobs? Should I let…
