What you've all been waiting for. I'm here to provide the update to this post. First up – thank you to everyone who sent wonderful words of encouragement and support. I really was just venting my frustrations but Reddit rallied around to prop me back up after experiencing yet another company for the third time in a row asking me to do unpaid work for a real client (as opposed to a dummy client for the sake of the tasks) as part of the job interview / hiring process despite the fact I am very qualified with a lot of extensive expertise and experience in my field, with proof and examples of this across my portfolios and websites. Asking job hunters to do a list of unpaid tasks for real clients as part of the job interview is something that sadly is becoming increasingly common – even though it is…

Sorry if this is not the place to post this. Long-story short, I will not be able to afford staying in my apartment much longer. I am simply not able to keep on like this. I also owe multiple relatives A TON of money and I refuse to continue down THAT dark path. There only seems to be one option. Move out. Perhaps I can liquidate some of my belongings and others I can rent a storage unit for. My job simply does not pay enough and I cannot find part-time work that compliments the hours of my full-time job. This is my worst nightmare. This sucks.

Capitalism has generated an average of a whopping $20,000 in total surplus value for every human: i.e. ( Global Household Wealth – Global Debt ) / Population (est 8 billion). Up from an estimated $150 per person pre-Rome (iirc, from a Euro-centric historical perspective). Also take note of the difference between the M2 supply and total debt; how the world owes over three times what it can afford to pay

Okay so this is from a job I applied and interviewed for back in the end of 2022. They asked me to fill this out as part of the application. It starts pretty normal, but I was weirded out by the financial section. Also, they wanted to know information about my spouse, any kids, and what I do each day of the week OUTSIDE of work. It was for a life insurance company so I feel like they were going to try and sell insurance to ME when I was there for a job. I emailed them back after this and told them I was no longer interested.
