I'm switching industries. I had this manager for a while and he has no humanity in him. Sees you as a machine and micromanages you. One time I got a life threat from someone outside of work and told him about it, he just said ok but we have files that we need to package and work on. On Friday I left work for a couple hours for a personal issue, and told him when I was gonna be back. Then he proceeded to ask another boss is it worth it for me to come back if it's slow, and that if I wanna get paid I should just come back. This guy has worked here for a little over a month and he does absolutely nothing. Him and my coworker call out all of the time and he has only requested ME to give him a doctors note. I just called out last night after my shift(requesting off the 17-19 {doctors approval}) and my doctor note states that I come back on the NINETEENTH. He texts me this and he knows I’m 19 and live alone and have bills to pay. Im quite literally the ONLY engineer who does any work here. (I start A WAY better job on Oct. 9 because of this) I just want advice and possibly your input on how you feel about this. He’s the one covering my shift for two more days (so a total of 3 shifts). Just wondering what life is like for those of you who don’t have to work to sustain yourself. And your living a comfortable perhaps even luxurious life. This could be due to one or more of the following: Winning the birth lottery (born into a rich family, trust fun baby, etc) Lottery winner Marrying into money Having a sugar daddy or sugar momma Printing your own money (money tree) How’s daily life? Do you feel fulfilled? What types of problems and stresses do you have despite lack of money not being one of them?

I'm currently doing a security gig overnight at a bus station extremely low intensity Nothing ever happens no one ever comes here I basically have an 8 hour. Pay to smoke break 5 times a week.I'm telling you all this is the least exploded I've ever felt working. Wondering if anybody else here has gotten lucky enough to land one of these cushy jobs that almost makes you forget how horrible most shops are.

I’ve applied to over 250+ jobs since august. I just graduated with a bachelors in media studies. I’ve even applied to Walmart and got rejected- cue the menty b that makes me feel like I’m never good enough. I try not to give up hope. I apply in person, online, and even go in person to see if I can check in with a manager on duty. I’m persistent. I do want to work, and everyday she either is supportive, or tells me ‘I’m not trying hard enough’ – this letter feels gaslighty, just like she would I pound the pavement. but not enough apparently? And it’s my fault jobs won’t accept me. Lmao…
