Need help drafting a piss off and pay me letter for my friend!

So my friend was an independent contractor for a medical courier company for a few months. Within the first week someone already altered her time and route logs because she was jealous, they were/are behind on paying her for some unknown reason, and generally acted unprofessional including demanding she work unassigned routes that she wasnt scheduled for and calling her pathetic over it, and when she quit over it, they decided to berate her for this and other things over texts 4 hours later at 9pm. Im helping her send a message to them that in the nicest and most kind way says fuck off and pay me the money you owe me. Any advice? Im still waiting on her to send me the exact text her boss sent her and ill also be fixing grammar and what not, but heres my rough draft. “Hello! I wouldve responded sooner, but…

Getting Burnt Out…

I've worked the past 3.5 years as a traveling rep for a franchise company, spending roughly 1/3 of the year on the road. Job in of itself isn't overly difficult, but is not without its challenges, worst of which is travel. I can be gone 3 out of 4 weeks one month, and the other reversed and home 3 out of 4. I can also get notice last minute on a Thursday evening that Monday I'll be out of town 3-4 days the following week. I've learned a lot and grown a lot professionally, but its taking its toll. I'm getting stipends, bonuses, incentives, and other bumps in salary. Which is combination performance based, and a bit of paranoia/fear by the home office because turn over in this position is HIGH. They struggle keeping reps, primarily because of the extensive travel. I'm currently out of town and working a franchise…

Training review session with my boss

I'm two months into a new industry, company, and position where I focus on environmental health and safety (EHS) at a manufacturing plant. I am the first and only EHS person at this plant. I usually start my day around 6:30 AM and work till 3 PM, with a half hour lunch. My commute is an hour. This is my first salaried job, so I'm also learning how to navigate that. Due to being new, an idea was tossed out by the regional EHS manager that I could go to another (bigger) plant to shadow with the two EHS people that work there. That way, I can learn some things, get some guidance, and help better establish what I will do at this plant. Last week, I spent a few days at the other plant, working with them, asking questions, etc. Which overall, I felt good about and I felt…

I feel sick to my stomach.

INSANE RANT/VENT format is horrible im sorry. I fucking hate, that now matter what i say, no matter how i say it, my father simply does not understand… he has been working for the same company for 11 years now. A year ago he asked his boss if it was okay for me to work there as well, he said yes fast forward to present, now we arguing non stop about how much he wants to show me what he does (industrial machinist) And i tell him WANT to learn. But i simply do not want to work for these people. Recently (last week) they had a meeting with me because i asked for more hours, they told me there are no hours they can give me because there is not enough work to do(Big. Bold. Lie. This is also a family business) he procceded to tell me that even…

Survived a PIP, but still being treated as the culprit to every issue.

For context, I work in a “localized supply chain” role. So couple months ago I was placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (I’ll refer to it as a PIP) for items which, in the general sense, are completely valid reasons to be written up for, but the reasons were tied to tasks I had confirmed via email that would not longer be on my plate so that I could focus on other tasks. I played along with my managers’ move and ended up successfully completing the PIP. Now I am being held responsible for inbound shipping delays being created by the logistics team and carriers by my managers. I have done everything I can do to mitigate the issues as much as I can, but it’s “not enough.” I have expressed the issues with my managers regarding the delays and have asked for help in escalating the issue up the…

Almost got fired on my third day

I started a new job. It’s basically like a dream job, in my desired industry, doing what I like to do, lots of latitude to do my job, some very fun elements. While in the process of playing around with the product I began doing some research looking for user generated info. I ended up looking at Reddit and discovered some very fishy looking posts. Awesome reviews of the product with no karma and no other comments. Posts extolling the virtues of the product and the company when lightly nudged for an opinion. We had just hung up on my first zoom meeting with the company and I didn’t want to bring this up where everyone was listening. So, I went into the other office to ask the marketing guy who was dealing with Reddit. I assumed they were gonna say “it was the old guy” or “don’t know what…

I’m 20, permanent back injury and work man’s comp question please help .

I hurt my back using a concrete grinder after being on my hands and knees for 10 hours a day, with no days off for weeks my own mistake of course. Eventually this caught up with me and my back was exceptionally sore one day. I bent over, collapsed and had no strength to stand up and laid there sprawled out. My question is even though this was a year ago I still have pain there every day. My boss paid for my MRI and Urgent care vist. But he failed to informed me that I could file workman's comp. He has never displayed the mandatory workers rights poster. It's still in the package the state mailed out. I was diagnosed with Degenerative disc disease from overworking my lower back Can I do anything about this? or would I need to get hurtbadly again,I do light duty part time now…

Employer deducted me 50 dollars on my paystub

Work as a dishwasher at an upscale restaurant and recently there was an incident where some produce was lost. Manager said that it would be coming out of our paychecks. Paystub also says explicitly states that this was deducted from my account. What should I do?
