USA – Illinois I work at a hotel. A coworker of mine was recently terminated because of their attitude with coworkers/management/customers and an increasing trend of aggressive behavior – mostly yelling/shouting/being excessively vulgar in the workplace. HR removed them before things escalated. I overheard another coworker, who still works here and is friends with the ex-employee, reading off our schedule sheet. I heard them reading off my schedule and others' over the phone and discussing other things with the ex-employee (e.g., what's happened since they were fired, what management has been doing, etc.). I know this other coworker doesn't particularly like me, especially since I was one of the people who reported the ex-coworker. Given the circumstances, and considering that the ex-employee was terminated because of complaints made by me and others, I'm concerned that they might do something if they have my schedule. What are my options here? I…

Idk, try quitting AFTER payday
They've been on time paying me every pay period. I left after finding the history of the manager. Not saying where I went to but its goinf much better already. I left for many reasons and so much is adding up. I went in to speak to whoever and the manager AND owner ended up being there. I spoke to the manager and gave no explanation other than I found a better job opportunity. I spoke to no one and didn't give a goodbye to anyone, to mitigate questions about where I currently work. Never even announced I was leaving beforehand the past days before. Mainly for my safety. It's payday. Why am I not paid? What should I do before I go raise hell tomorrow?
Recently I have had a relapse for a neurological condition that causes me pain, discomfort, memory loss, focus issues, numbness and fatigue. Although my previous neurologist signed FMLA/Ada paperwork for this company due to my issue and is still active with my company, this new flareup caused me to land in the hospital for a while and I missed a lot of work. I was unable to follow the company rules as far as reporting my FMLA intermittent leave through their required portal due to being in the hospital. I did however message my immediate supervisor explaining the situation. This is a work from home position for a very large vended call center. I've been with the company for over 8 years and ever since my injury occured just over 2 years ago I feel like I'm being pushed out the door. I didn't get any official firing. I got…
Why should we even bother anymore?
NSFW due to foul language, and also a long rant due to a multitude of bullshit over this past week that came to a head today. So to begin with I had my semi annual performance meeting asking what I wanted out of the company and what my company wanted out of me. I told them nothing much except to be able to make certain decisions on my own and a few more hours(I work retail btw) which they said they'd oblige due to me not being able to complete certain tasks on time while only working 6 hours. In return all they asked was for me to hurry customer interactions so I can get more work done. No biggie right? Well a couple days later I was working out and working on my sprints when I felt the worst kind of pain in my foot. All I could find…

Overwhelming internship
I am in an external audit internship/articleship since past four months. I've been humiliated several times for not performing deliverables on time, as compared to the experienced ones(considering I had worked in an tax return preparation role before, which was unrelated to auditing though). I, however managed to learn to do it faster, only to be assigned to an internal audit project, where I have to learn everything from ground zero. The senior, even though acknowledging my lack of experience, still expects me to learn stuff and deliver at a faster rate, which is fine. However, now two of my other team members are going to go on leave, leaving me to handle the project alone for a couple of weeks. I am scared at the moment. Any advices, please?
What career should I pursue?
I don’t know what to major in the hellhole college because my mom has been asking me this question. I have a learning disability which will make it slightly more challenging, and all I can think of is being a modern slave to the matrix for half a century. Any advice would be helpful on what career I should pursue?
6 figure dilemma
I finally got a job offer with 6 figures attached. Here’s my dilemma. They want me to move across the country. My current boss said that if I stay where I’m at for a while, way less money, that something will open up for me soon, closer to home. With that kind of salary. My kids love school. I heard my new boss has super high turnover. I don’t know what to do. Should I stay, or should I go? Silly dilemma to some, but what if I move my family across the country, only to be let go in a few months? Scary.
For context, this is the second time I've ever called out from this job. Would you go back?
