Job exposed us to paint primer fumes

I work in a place of business that is being remodeled (remodeling is being done after hours). Came into work this morning and the smell of the paint primer fumes were unmanageable. Keep in mind they primed the walls less than 24 hours of us having to report to work. Should I file an OSHA complaint? (I suffer with migraines so I left early but was exposed from 8:30-2:30)

I want to give up Job searching but I desperately want to move out of my current position?

work under a toxic manager in a company with a toxic work culture. I work in the AI field, and my manager is clueless and was promoted solely for their longevity with the company. He is of Indian descent. He doesn't prioritize substance; he only cares about image—specifically, his own. Consequently, he attempts to exert control over every aspect . We are seniors but he makes us write sign in and sign out email every day with number of hours spent on each task. Never likes to schedule meeting he just team calls whenever he likes and gets angry if you don't answer. Everyone in the company spend 90% of the playing politics. I have applying for jobs reaching final stages on some. I just got 2 rejects today. I just want to give job search

I want to ask for a raise, advice needed

Alrighty, idk where to start…. I am working at a specialty restaurant, was hired and trained before the grand opening. The 1 year anniverssary is this December. This was my first food industry/serving job, not my first costumer service job though. I also did culinary class all thru highschool which gave me serving/catering know-how, just not the on the ground experience. So out of all the staff I have the least experience and so I am paid the least. Minimum here is $15, average server jobs $9. I make $12, plus 70% tips, 30% gets thrown into a pot for back of the house, which i do not mind at all. Other staff are making $16 or even $17. The bosses (married couple, first time restaurant owners, neither had careers in food industry, but lots of project mngtmt n business stuff) are always commenting on ways we can improve the…

Advice on this

Got a text from an ex coworker. “Do you think I don't know everything you said in that van since (my start date)? If you would like to meet up and resolve some things I am ready when you are, otherwise, don't text me again or I might get angry” This implies that the vans are bugged right? I'm in California and I didn't have any knowledge of being recorded.

My company is hiring too many people and is now putting new employees in the hallways and in our tiny offices

We have gone from a handful of devs to a whole team and now they are doubling us up on office space. The owner is waking around talking about how important it is for “collaboration”… These fuckers will truly make up anything to save money and make our lives worse. I know they'll pay for it in higher turnover and decreased productivity, but unfortunately they are so stupid that they'll never realize why it happened.

Last Laugh!

I was laid off from my 10 year job about 2 months ago. The company said they couldn't afford to keep most of the staff, which was complete BS. I found out that they were really only trying to increase profits and had hired an consultant who told them that they could make things work with only 50% of their staff, and my department was on the chopping block. It's been a stressful couple of months; unemployment is a joke where I live and I've been stressed beyond belief. However, I just got a job offer and things are looking up. As soon as I accept the new job, my old boss calls me up out of the blue. Guess who can't figure out the huge hole in the company that was covered by my department? They initially offered me a short term contract (2 weeks) at nearly double my…

I’m losing £4 an hour!

So I've recently took my daughter in full time due to problems at her mothers home so obviously I've had to change my working hours. I was doing shifts, now I'm only doing the day shift which is 2.5 hours more a week than my previous shifts. I've been working there just over 2 years and found out I've made them over a million in those 2 years. I thoight me and my boss were good friends how I was wrong. On my last day of my shift work he called me into his office to tell me I'll be losing £4 an hour 🤣 ohh how I love being a slave.
