– If my company chooses, Hybrid, then WFH days will be per month not per week. So you have to come in a certain number of times in a month but at least once a week. – Your first day on the job will be an introduction meet the team chill day, a long lunch with the team or something! It's not work and train day, its meet the team, get to know everyone day and the job functions day. – there will one day of the week where the company provides free lunch (not pizza lol)

Excited to get back to work
In two weeks I will be back at the workplace that decided to respond to me asking for a reduction of working hours due to depression by putting me under more stress and a five week “trial period” that sounds like a PIP but is not legally one. I will be back to finish the last three weeks of the trial period after I ended up on sick leave last day of the second week. After finishing the three weeks I don't know what will happen, but I know it no longer matters. I have 1 month notice before they can end my employment written in my contract. In 3 weeks and 1 month it will be December. I will officially have one year experience in the field. The company doesn't care what happens to me. As HR said, we're only in an employment relationship. My personal problems is not…
How it feels to be micromanaged
Tips to cover till?
I have a young lady I converse with regularly about adulting/launching. She started a new job at Dunkin, and first of all they pay like crap. Secondly, they take the tips to cover register if the register is short. Is this common? This is some garbage, because if I’m tipping, I want it to go to the employees, not some manager that knows they can swipe $20 every day from the cash and no one will know.
Company Inventory
Hello! I worked for a company for about a year. I fell for their whole customer first bs for a while until I realized that we were charging 3 to 5x the price on certain items and lying about it. I have a digital copy of the inventory book that shows all of the ridiculous price gauging. Would it be illegal to post said book online?
So discouraged
I’m so discouraged. I’ve been applying to 5-10/ jobs a week for 4 months now. Making new resumes for each position, cover letters, sending follow up emails and calls. I have over 10 years experience in communications, brand curation and marketing. I’ve recently upgraded my certifications and have a degree. Finally got an interview for a low salary entry level position. Had two interviews and showcased my portfolio. I’m over qualified if anything. They asked for references. I gave them letters of recommendations with phone numbers. They asked if they could reach out to the president of my old company. I said okay, gave them his personal number and let him know (they didn’t even call him yet). Followed up a few days later and they said they’re still interviewing candidates. It took me over 100 applications for one basic interview. How much competition is out there these days? Just…
A Unique Public Bus Driver Issue
This morning I got to work (public school bus driver) and because of the way our buses work, the door that opens for the kids is not locked or really all that secure at night. Because of this and where I live, the bus lot has a raccoon problem where they get on the buses at night to check for food and scavenge and we are all meant to basically just accept this as a fact of life. This morning I was greeted with a large pile of racoon shit on my seat of the bus I drive. Now I have a finite amount of time to prep my bus so I had to clean the seat as best I could before throwing a trash bag on it because I sure as hell wasn't sitting in racoon shit. I get done with my first shift, write up the issue and…

Is it worth staying at my new company?
New job is frustrating I was with my previous job as a contract specialist for 5 years. They don’t really pay much and was looking elsewhere to get a pay increase. However, they’ve always taken care of my in other ways. The CEO (it’s a small business) reached out to me and bought me airline tickets to go see my dad when he had 2 strokes and was in the hospital. Things like that. New job I started at 2 months ago (30k increase) and I’ve been stressed the fuck out ever since. Their system is an all manual process, nothing is automated. The people on my team are very rude and condescending. I was taught 1 thing during my 1st week of training and when I ran into that issue again on my 2nd month, I’ve been made to feel like I’m dumb because I don’t remember that one…
working in a place for some time, gradually they lay off more and more people and the ones who are left get more stuff to do with same pay, after a while i was left the only one in my department, so all work on me, never really stressed about it i did tried to take less brakes just so the place won't be a total disaster. anyway, i was send to a talk with the big guys who told me i work slow and was asked why i cant manage to do everything alone and why i even sometimes just chill and drink tea , i said to them in the most stoic way i am just one person what i manage to do in my hours is what i do , they raged out and i stared at them and asked when raise? they were even more raged…
