Disney World is often hailed as the most magical place on Earth, but my experience paints a different picture. In fact, I would argue that it is one of the most hellish workplaces on the planet. I was once a custodian at Disney. Initially, the job was tolerable. I enjoyed free park access and had a good rapport with my coworkers, some of whom remain my friends to this day. However, after some time, I needed an additional income and took up a part-time job with a competitor nearby. This decision was not well-received by some of my coworkers and coordinators (shift managers), who subsequently filed a false report against me, alleging that I had thrown something at a coworker. This incident never occurred; I simply dropped said item. In response to this false accusation, I handed in my two-week notice, intending to return to the company later but in…

Fed up at work
I work as a bagger at a large grocery store. Things got pretty tense, when we got a new Customer Service Manager, she became very nitpicky, and criticized many people's performance in my department, including me. I was suddenly tasked with having to go into the aisles and ask each customer if I could unload their carts. First of all, getting around in such a small space is difficult, next I have osteoarthritis in one of my knees, which makes walking a bit of a chore. (I probably should've gotten a new job long ago) I respectfully asked if I could be excused from this, but was met with resistance and asked for doctor's notes which I provided. They are still asking for the doctor for more follow-up info. I now believe I'm being harassed a means of forcing me out.
It’s been 6 months and I want to quit my job. A little bit about my job: I’m a group fitness instructor at a senior living facility. When I first started I was part-time, working about 28 hr/wk Sunday through Wednesday (Wed. being a half day) and thought I’d be making $28/hr (which is what was advertised). I LOVED it when I first started, even tho I was started at $24/hr. When I asked my supervisor why the lower pay, she said I had to work for 3 months/90 days so that they’d “know I would stick around for a while”. I didn’t have much option other than to stick it out, plus this seemed like my dream job. I worked really hard and brought energy every day. The general manager approached me and said that residents wouldn’t stop telling him how great of a job I was doing. Come…
No one cares about job hoppers?
Hi all, A bit confused right now. I was always told that job hopping is a bad thing. Here is my resume for piece of mind: 4 months system engineeer (current, eveyrone happy, want more moneys lol) 10 months System engineer (fired by new management because did not like me) 6 Months system engineer (fired for asking to much money) 12 Months network engineer (fire for asking to much money) 6 months intership IT I started at mimimumwage at 2k, now I have +-4k and good benifits. Because my 'jop hopping' I was walking on egg shells not to get fired. I got fired 3 times for commig in late and stuff lmao and asking for more moneys. Qestion: Why do I still get linkedin job offers? Few big corps are asking me to go for an open chat. I do not get it, my resume is trash and I…
Hello everyone, So long story short I work for a local business that is owned by people that have been known to break labor laws before (did not know this when I applied). They recently added cameras into our break room which I heard breaks employee privacy and I was informed that because there is a safe in the back the law can then be excluded and they are allowed to have a camera back there. Again, is this entirely legal? I don’t trust them considering they have a sketchy past, if it is legal due to that technicality then oh well lol
Work related pain?
So I just started a new job, still in new hire period time (3 months). And in the third week, suddenly I had an intense pain in my shoulder/pain I never felt before. After going to physician and doing x-ray apparently it's because of my job nature task (repative hand movments), and probably TOS. They refused my physician accomindations, and said all they can give is 5 min break every hour, that sound good for me.. but I'm not sure if it will make any difference tbh, because I already go to bathroom a lot (sometimes just to take rest from pain) and it's still there/I take medication for it. I work so slow since third week, and they don't like that.. and I'm more slower now as the pain is getting worse! I'm so torn, I don't know what to do.
22F i only have a highschool degree (dropped out of college during covid couldnt do it online and now i have bills such as car and car insurance +work full time so i cant go back) i went from working in one shitty toxic small buisness to another well i guess somewhat better small buisness but still no benefits . no healthcare or pto or 401k i struggle with multiple mental illnesses and have a couple of medications and require 2 appointments per month so its important that whatever job i have can be flexible for that. my new job im quite happy with it i dont have to do customer service anymore (this was seriously draining me the general public is so idiotic.) the boss man isnt greedy like my previous work (was there 2 yrs only got a 50cent raise HAH and they tried to make me interview…
DQ in Wisconsin
I work at a car wash, when I started working at the wash in 2021, it was first and oldest part of a very small and local company that had only 4 locations. The environment was very laid back and easygoing as the owners honestly didn't care how the company was run, just as long as they were getting a profit. The wash was quite popular among locals for its unique theme. Anyway in 2022, the company was bought out and dissolved by a significantly larger and nationwide carwash company. This company has a lot of changes to the wash, some good, mostly bad. A week ago, my manager ( who has only been with the company for 6 months ) offered me a promotion. When I found out that the promotion did not come with a pay raise, I declined and voiced that I wanted extra pay for extra…
My boss wants me to harass people
I have two bosses at this door to door job I have. I normally wouldn't have gotten such a job but the pay is good and the work is easy. One of my bosses is a very good manager let's call her Sally. The other boss is rather the opposite. Let's call him Jim. Sally always answers on time and gives us what we need. Gives smart answers, is dependable and will have our back. She is very understanding and one of the best bosses I have had. Jim leaves me on read for hours at a time, when he does answer he gives the most basic answer. Most of them don't help with anything and he takes forever to give me new neighborhoods to go to. He also forgets to give me things I need and even forgot my name. I was pretty forgiving of him until he called…
