My boss sucks. He's constantly on the phone to his partner/kids' teachers/kids during work hours. Frequently other colleagues will come over and sit at his desk while they talk for up to an hour sometimes. He'll show up two hours after office hours start and just shrug and say 'kids ya know?', only to leave at 2pm. But if anyone else is 5 mins late it's unacceptable and disappointing, and we're 'letting the team down'. Basically, he does fuck all at work. He's very passive aggressive about team members who he considers 'lazy', and straight up rude to those who he doesn't like: the line of his approval could not be more obvious. Super unprofessional, obviously taking advantage of opportunities to do less, and judgemental of everyone and anyone that isn't his good friend. This is a corporate workplace, and I find myself disgusted that such an asshole was allowed…

Labor Day Thought
Felt this in my soul

“Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.”
Where I Am At In Life
We can all agree times are fucking hard right now. Last month I left my job as a shift manager from a gas station store because my general manager wasn’t satisfied with my performance during training (I promise I worked my ass off and I did everything to meet their expectations). It was bullshit, but I will post a story about it soon. Anyway, I have been unemployed for a month now. My paychecks was two weeks behind so I got paid for the next two weeks while unemployed, but after that— I started to struggle terribly. Hunting for jobs that fucking pay $15/hr for an assistant manager position? Minimum wage is $11/hr here in Florida. I barely had any money to afford food as all my payments were made for rent and bills. I am in 10k debt and I’m behind on my car payments and struggling to pay…
Unfairness in my workplace
Every 5 weeks my workplace does 1 on 1 meetings to check the teams performance. Our workplace opened 5 weeks ago and the whole team is new. I myself believe I work very hard and get more than enough done with each shift. I stay behind and an extra 30 minutes to an hour and clean and set-up for the next team member. Today I had my 1 on 1 meeting. I walked in expecting to receive some small feedback about little things I do wrong. Instead I got fed lies. “We heard from a few team members that you don't clean, don't really work much and stand around. The second your shift ends you leave without helping with anything.” My heart dropped. I responded “whos said this?” “Oh a few people who you've worked with” the only person I've worked with for the past 2 weeks is James. James…
YOU DO THE TAXES JOB
I am tired of being forced to do taxes. If I only work and don't have any need for complicated tax return. All the IRS needs at that point is my work tax info which they already have. I should be able to before April 15th. Click a button at work on my HR page. It should read, DO YOU WANT US TO SUBMIT YOUR TAXES.
