I work in factory plant i hate this job. Should i quit?

Hello there. Been almost five years on this shitty job, but lately started to hate it. The position is operator on assembly line and its incredibly boring. Basically i need to do same thing over over and over every day every week. And i need to stand all day long in same spot. Most of my colleagues are my dad's age (50+). The shift rotation changes every week like i'm third shift this week, then the next week i'm second shift(day shift) and so on. Should i leave this crazy type of job? It does exhausting me more mentally, The pros are that we have paid meal by company (pretty good) and free transportation to the place, and the wage is slight above average. But i'm asking myself is it worth to sacriface myself for just few things?

Does Your Job Have a 90 Day Before Holiday Pay?

Curious about this as Ive seen mixed feedback. Some get it some dont. My company doesnt offer it for the first 90 day, which imo is absurd. Tomorrow is considered one of those holidays, but you're legit telling me there will be people making half of what others make for the day, just because they havent been with the company for 90 days. Thats terrible and I feel like no holiday pay? Call out

Was let go on Friday for “speeding” thru a group chat

So I get into work and hear news the 4 people have been fired for car accidents. So I get to work as usual cleaning rental cars. I take my first of the day thru the wash and around to our clean wall. As I'm doing so our site Manager calls me over after I've parked. Tells me i was speeding and to clock out and go home. This guy has quite the ego so I swallow my pride and comply. I get home and an hour goes by and I receive a message from the Site Managers assistant stating per the Site Manager due to said speeding I'm no longer available to work for them. Through a group chat mind you For context If your caught speeding you receive a citation for the first 3 offense then your termed I've never received a citation before this The speed limit is…

This is all the money I have and I have 0 food.

Ahahaha, aren’t jobs that pay way below the minimum wage needed to survive awesome? This is what I have left after only one week of having my paycheck after paying back my bank for ridiculous overdraft charges I DIDNT SIGN UP FOR, buying literally just food that I now am out of, and helping pay bills which ensure I get to stay living in my home. Half tempted to just try to post my PayPal or Cashapp or Zelle or SOMETHING somewhere because that is more likely to help than my job paying me a livable wage.

Quit my job on the spot Friday.

I’m a software engineer. I make a good salary. Worked at a heavily toxic company (we were made to log time in 30 minute intervals on the dot, managers frequently screaming at us when time is missing or late, coworkers shit talking one another, openly racist in the office etc.) After getting verbally abused Friday by my bosses boss for having my time logged 4 minutes late and accused of being “lazy”, I walked out. I’ve got 2 years of experience, the market is absolutely horrible right now and I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. This company broke me, and made me question my career choice. It made me hate coding, which I’ve always loved. I’ve got some savings (probably a year of burn) but do not know what to do. Anyone in a similar spot? Any advice?

GotGhostedFYI – a place to see which companies ghost interview candidates

Hope you're all doing well. We've all been there – we apply for a job, go through the interview process, and then… silence. It's frustrating, disappointing, and, unfortunately, quite common. That's why I re-released GotGhosted.FYI. What is GotGhosted.FYI? GotGhosted.FYI is a platform where job seekers can share their experiences of being ghosted by companies after interviews. By gathering these experiences, we aim to bring awareness to this unprofessional behavior and help job seekers make more informed choices about where to apply. How Does It Work? Share Your Experience: Anonymously submit your ghosting story, mentioning the company and any other relevant details. View which other companies ghost their candidates Down the road, the plan is to create tools where we can anonymously chat with one another, share interview questions and experiences, and create an exclusive job board of companies that DO NOT ghost interview candidates. We believe that transparency can lead…

Want to stop managing people

Basically what it says. I manage folks and I hate it. I think corporate keeps telling me I’m good at it because they don’t want to have to find a replacement. I don’t feel good at it and I absolutely hate it, and work way more than I should really for the sole reason I have I have bad boundaries and hate letting folks down. At this point I’d be willing to take a pay cut to go work minimum wage. I probably need to take a break to think about it, but does anyone have any experience either staying and they getting better or quitting? Just looking for perspective as I’m pretty down.

I’m not cut out for it

I honestly don't know what else to say. I feel like the cards have been against me from the moment I was born. I just want to vent. I'm a disabled woman. I'm not at all physically disabled, but mental illness, ADHD, and ASD have impacted my ability to work. I went undiagnosed with my ADHD for 24 years. Maybe because I finally noticed it that I have been unable to do any retail job. I've been fired many times before and after I knew about it BECAUSE OF IT. I'm unemployed and a “housewife” and can't spend a lot of money to get treatment other than (legal) medical marijuana. And because of my gap in employment and “drug use,” I can't find any decent work. I have a degree in English and a degree in French but no teaching certificate. The stress and money I'd need to have to…
