If you were given the option to fistfight one customer a day who would you clock and why?

It saddens me when my coworkers are forced to work such unreasonable hours. Even though I put in 6-8 hours of work, there are times when I can only take home 50 dollars, which is not even 10 dollars an hour. It's frustrating, especially considering that my own rent is a whopping $1,750. Many of my colleagues are older and struggling to make ends meet. Then there's my manager, who does the same workload as I do but is compelled to work 60/70/80 grueling hours. She can barely manage to pick up her daughter from school and cover her rent too. On top of this, we've been assigned new tasks like picking up cigarette butts from the ground outside and sweeping the roads, I don't mind except when I get more work and no increase in pay. I've noticed that places like Starbucks have successfully unionized, and there have been…

Weirdo Issue #28 by Manuel “Spain” Rodriguez
Had to give this lesson to my wife who was always getting shafted at work. Made to feel like she had to cover other peoples shifts because she lived close by, and never got time off of work. So I’d like to share this lesson as I think y’all will appreciate it. You might think you’re indispensable to your job- maybe your highly valuable. But your bad day away from being in the grave and your job will be forced to move on without you. Enjoy the time you have, it’s short. Tell your boss no.
Money can’t buy happiness true meaning
This happened over a decade ago but my husband was laughing about it this morning and told me to post it here. Back in 2012 I worked at a photography studio as a favor to a friend. I needed some extra cash during the slow season and he needed someone to be front of house. Friend/Boss was big in the community chamber of commerce so a lot of fellow business owners would stop by to hang out and hobnob. On my second day of work, the older man across the street – who was a big Chamber member – came over to chat with my boss. While I was filing some things he reached over and brushed his fingers along the bottom of my hair, touching my neck, saying. “Wow, that's a weird hair color!” and trust me, his tone was awful. I've had an alternative appearance for most of…
Employer Investigation
Hi everyone, I'm not really sure where to go with this. Mods please remove if needed. There was an incident at my work where alcohol is served, I asked if a woman who appeared inebriated at closing had a ride home to the man who was with her as she appeared inebriated. He told me she did have a ride and thanked me. 40 minutes after closing the man I had spoken to came into the closed restaurant and yelled in my face, berating me for asking, calling me racist, telling me he had 7 alcoholic beverages and that he would drive home, as did everyone he was with. He smelled quite strongly of alcohol. My shift lead came over and after attempting to calm him down to no avail, called him disgusting and said I wasn't racist because “We serve black customers.” After she escorted him out, he then…
I want to call out for a interview at a different store but I work on that day the interview is happening on, the person does on the spot interviews only on Tuesdays around 5pm but I work Tuesday from 12 to 8 and I'll pretty much miss that opportunity and I don't want to wait until next Tuesday because I want to leave my current job as soon as possible and work somewhere better like now. Question How should I call out for Tuesday without her getting pissed at the fact that I randomly called out. Because she have threatened to fire people for calling out for I guess dumb reason (one co worker called out for her own reasons for something and she was about to fire her idk she's crazy)
To start off, I work for a very large, well known company. I recently got a Write up/final warning for missing too many days (19). I’ve been there almost a year. I never got a warning, coaching, or counseling for this, and have an impeccable record, and do my job really well. Nobody complains about me, and I always do more than what I’m asked to do. My problem is this, I missed 2 weeks due to a family member being sick in the hospital, (my boss ok’d the time off) I worked a few days within that 2 weeks period, and it was a total of 10 days. There were 5 days I missed due to the weather and quite literally could not get to work (boss was ok with this, and there were several others who could not make it in.) So I’ve only missed 4 days that…
