First off, apologies for format, mobile life. I’m almost at the end of my rope here, I’m not even sure where I went wrong or if I was set up to fail. I was told to do 2 things in life to live comfortably: get good grades in school and get your degree. The rest would fall in line. I did just that. Graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and got a Bachelor’s degree in computer science. What do I have to show for it? A staggering about of bills, a pile of rejection letters that grows by the day, and an awful retail job where I get abused by customers and management alike for barely any pay. Everywhere I look, I see nothing but senior level roles, jobs that require 3+ years experience in professional settings, and non-paid volunteer positions. God I can’t even apply to internships, paid…

Recently got another job since they offered to pay me cash and more than I was making, but kept my original since it's only a few hours and extra money. Even on my 6 hour 1 job days, my body kills me. But on the 11 hour 2 job days where one of them is mostly walking, my back and legs are dead. Tips? Quitting is not an option, having this much money feels great.
The Underachievers Manifesto
I once read a short book by a medical doctor called The Underachievers Manifesto. It was a fun read and I decided to implement it. Well, years later I’ve received all the promotions I would have wanted, don’t do too much work except for meetings that I keep as short as possible and usually nap in the afternoon from 2-4pm. I never work weekends and Fridays are like days off for me. Once you grasp the concept of being an underachiever a world of freedom at work awaits. Basically, do your job really well, but only do the bare minimum required to do it well, and also delegate. Delegation makes other’s feel important and needed, doing the bare minimum frees you up to practice your begleri tricks in the office and everyone hates a know-it-all so make it out that it was someone else’s bright idea. Obviously, this cannot work…

I am turning in my two weeks notice
I (f21) have decided to quit my job because my manager doesn’t trust me. There was a position that opened to be a lead last week. I have been working as a cook for two years and I know the in and outs when it takes to working in the kitchen. I am a hard worker and very professional when it comes to my work. I am respected by my fellow employees. I signed up for the position in hopes that I serve my coworkers and improve the place. This was my second time applying for it. The last time I was too young. My manager and boss said that out all four interviews I was the better one. That I would have gotten it if wasn’t my manager doesn’t trust me. I got confuse and asked what you do mean? She reply back last year I said that I…
Defeated and Burnt Out
I (24F) had an injury, lost my job, and I just feel broken. The idea of leaving my house to go to another place every single day and just be expected to be able to work 40+ hours a week of soulless customer support role makes me want to just give up. Same with cooking, and retail. I'm literally doing survey apps and trying to find other gigs or online opportunities to make a little scratch. I'm so fucking broke and don't even have enough for rent this month. Any suggestions? I'm not a hot girl so trophy wife is out of the question. I do have PTSD, but I'm not a veteran so the state won't grant me disability status. No one is biting on my Fiverr listings, and I'm just too damn depressed to keep this shit up. I dont think I should be expected to work, I…
Termination in notice period in India
Hi, As per the title suggest, I may be terminated during my notice period. What happened is I put my resignation in August after getting a job. Post that I have asked my Manager to relieve me by end of September. He says he will do it but I have not seen any actions taken by my manager regarding the same. Also, he started dumping more work on me and instead of Hybrid, he asked me to come to office everyday. This is why, although I go to office. Sometimes I go to office mark in the attendance and come back home. The manager has caught wind of it and is telling me that I will be terminated. So I want to know what r the implications of this on ym Relieving and Experience letter and will it affect me on my new company?
This is a follow up post from the post i made not too long ago here – https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/15wtuyc/my_coworker_is_pressuring_me_to_start_30_minutes/ — After that whole sha-bang, I followed the advice in the comments of that reddit post and went to my manager and exclaimed my disgust with how my co worker was acting under a professional environment (even if it was in a secluded workspace area away from customers. I said that I don't come to work to be harassed around what time I start and finish, especially when I would not be getting paid for the additional time of me showing up early. My manager was also confused at why my co worker even had this conversation as my manager clearly stated 10 minutes and we would be PAID for the early start. She was called into the managers office over the next couple of days because they had started a formal…
