I'm a 17 year old male working at a McDonald's franchisee store in Ontario, Canada. A female manager at our store (late 20s to early 30s) has taken a particular liking to a few of us guys and has started rubbing my arm calling it smooth, staring into my eyes calling them pretty, grabbing my forearm when talking to me and touching various parts of my body, all while at work and clocked in. My particular franchise has a history of ignoring guys' claims of sexual harassment and in the past have told coworkers in similar situations to simply “stop talking about it or you'll be suspended.” We're going to speak with the franchise directors and owners but don't want this one to get swept under the rug again. If we threaten legal action, are they able to suspend us for some “liability” or “conflict of interest” shit? We need…

https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/16tbbh7/update_i_ended_up_quitting_my_boss/ So after I was “sacked”, my boss went ahead and the passwords for all the company's SQL servers and also deleted my user from Active Directory as well… This in turn fucked up a ton of things because now none of the company's internal software can communicate with the SQL Servers across the company network and nobody knows where the connection string is… I know exactly where it is but you don't give away your secrets for free… As the Joker said, “if you good at something, you never do it for free”. HR called me begging me to come back because they have not been able to fix it all day… They asked me how much I wanted. What can we do to fix this? $250k, 50% up front. 50% remaining to be paid within 30 days of fixing this issue. And after that, going forward, I will…
I was regional manger at guitar center for 6 years and worked other roles for longer about 12 years total there. I will do a deep dive because I think everyone needs to be aware of this at any place they work. This place is disgusting with all its fake charities and “donations” and docking hours. During and after covid guitar center had signs up that said “due to the national coin shortage, if you pay with cash it must be exact change or it will be rounded up and donated to the guitar center foundation.” And if you paid card you would be asked to round up. Whenever customers would get mad about not getting change they would point at the signs posted everywhere. If you paid card associates were forced to ask you to round up. When customers would ask what the charity did everyone had a differ…
I have been working through a agency for this company since April, their communication and organizational skills has always been terrible. I am in the UK. My team leader at the time advised when I started the role that it was very flexible and we can work from home when we don't have face-to-face appointments. He also said the time we get in the office is flexible. This is something the whole team followed (permanent staff members). We then had a new team leader who was a micromanager. I worked from home the one day and he called me and said I should of gained authorisation. I said I understand why however this has never been clear. Bearing in mind the new team leader use to be on the same level as us and did the same (working from home when they want and not gaining authorisation). I think this…
I've made a post about this before but I like to keep track of events at my work. I started my job in the fall of 2022, I didn't think my coworker was that bad. Since then to about the spring of this year, I had to deal with my coworker having full blown melt downs, talking about killing himself, talking about killing others, telling me about how he wants to divorce his wife. All kinds of very intense things and he would scream at me when telling me this as if I were his wife and he would slam his hands on his desk as well. I told my boss ( who is best friends with my coworker) that I felt uncomfortable and I am being screamed at by my coworker. I mentioned how I feel uncomfortable since I am not a trained professional and it scares me the…
By the time I left my (now previous) company, I was the 13th young woman to quit. 13 girls all in their mid to late 20s. All under the same VP, a woman and the company owner's daughter. All women who recently got engaged/married/newly pregnant. After comparing notes, some of the girls and I realized these connections. A few weeks before the first girl left, we all were asked to provide our hourly breakdowns of our work week – completely unprompted. None of the men were asked nor the women who were single or 35+. Then we were given non-formal disciplinary action with a brand new (unrelated) HR rep in the room. We all worked under the HR umbrella so it wasn't entirely uncalled for, but we were all in specialized roles of communication, training, recruiting, etc. Why the need for an HR generalist? They kept saying we needed to…
Boss harassing us through grouptext.
So, I do job interviews and manage a department of 30 people. After years of doing this, I already have a great gut feeling developed, of knowing, who is a type of person to succeed in our office. Recently I was interviewing this girl and I knew that she wouldn't make it. She wasn't the type of personality that fits the job. So, I was already diverting the interview in a way, to cut it short and not waste persons time. But my boss jumps into the interview, out of nowhere, and tells me that he likes her, and we are hiring her. My jaw dropped. The fun thing is , my boss has 0 interaction with workers. He is that type of person that decides worker of a month, by the way he feels about them that particular day. He can hate a person one day, next praise them,…
Hello everyone, So ive been at this job for over a year and i love my job. Normally, we all get along and I really enjoy what I do. About 5 months ago they hired this new receptionist. She schedules appointments wrong, is rude to people in person and on the phone, and she won't do small cleaning tasks that we all have to do every week to keep the office looking nice. It's been annoying but I've just been kind of ignoring it hoping management would say something. A couple weeks ago I corrected her because she was about to over charge someone and since then she has been flipping me off and cussing at me every chance she gets. She was told off for this and I was told to report it to management if it happened again. She did do it again so I reported it and…
Why didn't they rebel against him? Also, what's up with Wozniak? Why didn't he try to rake revenge on Steve or something?
