Non-union versus union made car price
This is no dig against Toyota or Honda, I own a civic. Show me proof where a non union made car is cheaper than a union made car/truck. Toyota tacoma/tundra are every bit expensive as any Ford/GM. Same could be said about a camry/accord they are/were just as expensive as a Ford Taurus or Chevy Impala. Again, no dig against Honda or Toyota but with the uaw strike ongoing, am sick of hearing people say non-union vehicles are cheaper $$ than union made ones
I am an immunocompromised person who was extremely fortunate in my first job to have a boss that was willing to work around it. I would work very odd schedules and hours sometimes to accommodate whatever illness I was experiencing. Didn’t realize how lucky I was until I took a new job in which I was forced to take short term multiple times because I flew through my sick time and would not allow any work done outside of in person 9-5. This place was micromanaged into the ground but somehow had an army of loyal employees. When the company hit lay offs, myself and another employee who also had health issues were the only two let go. Coincidentally of course. I was already in the middle of interviews, actually accepted an offer the same day I got laid off which was emotionally weird. I got lucky as hell. Finally…
I work in an office setting. The role is not for me and is really starting to wear me out. I have a lot of questions sometimes and co-workers are not always available to help me out of a jam. I know of two other opportunities which are perfect for me and pay almost as well, but these do not open for another three months, give or take. I hate being oncall (they increased this to once/twice per month instead of once every three months), my workload has increased significantly and now they're expecting us to dedicate weekends. And of course being salaried I am not paid extra for it. How do survive three months until another opportunity opens?
Started a new job about 6 months ago, the least lienant job I’ve had so far. Their PTO policy is so ridiculous (and I understand a lot of companies are like this too) They automatically use my accrued PTO for any sick days or time off that isn’t vacation without asking me. My boss told me to try not to take any days off/vacation if I don’t have the PTO for it. Excuse me, what? If I need a day off, I need it off. I’m also not gonna postpone or cancel my vacation if I don’t have the exact amount of hours because you decided to take my PTO and use it for something else. So ridiculous. If I don’t have 40 hours on my check that isn’t affecting anyone except me. And the accrual rate is a petty ass 6 hours a month for vacation, sick days, AND…
I'm so fucking mad right now. Friday I usually work a 12 hour morning shift, and my colleague works a 5.5 hour evening/close shift. Saturday I usually work an 8 hour morning shift, and my colleague works a 9.5 hour evening/close shift. My colleague requested these two days off for paid annual leave 2 months in advance which was aporoved. We occasionally use an outside contracted company to cover hours that can't be covered in house. On the Friday towards the end of my shift I'm waiting for my replacement to arrive, and nothing. No one turns up. I call my boss, he calls the company, it takes a while. He asks if I can stay back 2 hours until the guy gets here. Oh and he's never been here before so train him in 20 minutes, good luck. I'm fucking livid. 14 goddamn hours and I'm a fucking zombie.…

I'm sure you all get a ton of posts like this here but tell me what you would do and/or please offer any advice if you can… I (25f) started WFH during the pandemic (it's been 4 years now, started at age 21). At first, the world was shut down and I wasn't really feeling the job/coworkers so it worked out for me. Now, years later, and even after a new job (fully remote again), I'm ready to get back out into the real world bc wfh has ran its course. Not to mention it's a toxic work environment and I hardly get along with my boss. It's very lonely after a while and it's beginning to take a toll on me. I talk to friends about it but they don't understand. I have no routine, no clothes, or overall excitement to go outside, explore, and be young/free. I'm applying…
