So I’ve only been in this job for about two months. It’s horrid. No training and expected to be perfect when it comes to everything. One little mistake is a write up. My co workers aren’t supportive and it’s basically like we’re all fighting eachother. I want to leave but I’ve been there for so little. I’ve had a part time job for five years during school but I was told no one will care about that tenure, that’s it’s all about jobs when you graduate. I’m planning on leaving early November and I started late July, even though I really would be there for around 3 months, would putting July-November sound much better?

This is the third time in 2 weeks that I’ve been called into the office for “not dressing appropriately” for work. I wish I had pics, but essentially my clothes are too form fitting, or “too much skin.” I know that many women in the workplace go through this. Nothing about my outfits are blatantly sexual in nature, but rather I have a voluptuous figure which makes any hugging clothing “sexualized” on me. I shouldn’t be getting in trouble for other people sexualizing me. People with more slender figures don’t tend to be dress coded for wearing similar things. Everyone likes to feel good about themselves. The way I dress is an expression of myself. I do tend to go for things more form-fitting because it flatters my body type the best. I learned from this sub that giving a two week notice is customary in the US and that you guys are generally against this (and I understand why). In my country the amount of notice you need to give is based on the amount of time you worked for your company. For example I needed to give 5 weeks notice when I quit my previous job after working there for 1.5 years. The plus side is that if they would've fired me they would have needed to give me 10 weeks notice or simply pay me for that period while I sit at home. Do you think this is a better system or do you prefer to have the ability to quit without notice?

I've been working for a non-profit organization for a little over 19 yrs but they have made drastic changes in my duties that the job I was hired to do has morphed into something drastically different. The new duties assigned are things that I hate or am not good at. I do not know what to look for in my search for another job in the meantime. Any advise would be appreciated.

Had a Zoom interview scheduled for 3:30. Logged on around 1 pm to make sure I knew how to work with Zoom. Took a break around 2 (but stayed logged in) to get dressed and all made up. 3:30 comes, 3:45, at 3:47 I'm sending frantic emails asking what's wrong, I'm hanging out in the waiting room and nobody is there. There used to be one old boss. Now there is old boss and new younger boss [who was supposed to be an assistant but has the same higher upboss as old boss does]. Old boss is taking extra time off. [I am too because I am old and I think we will be forced out]. “All the websites” say we should ask the boss what is up, how we can help, etc. Whether old boss will be leaving by choice due to family illness or more money, suspects they are being forced out, or waiting for a promotion is none of my business.
