Different countries have different labor laws and worker protection rights. What works in America won't work in Asia. And, from what I hear, different American states have different laws too. You can leave it at that. But, if your problem is such that field matters, and you feel comfortable posting, you can state vaguely which field you are in. Stuff that works in a 9-5 corporate job may not work in retail or construction and vice versa. 9 out of 10 times the advice given on this sub regarding common workplace abuse and exploitation won't work for me because I live in an Asian country. Labor laws and work culture are different here.

Life should be so much more
If you need help or advice regarding your work, in order to get some actual, effective help, some basic info will help. Knowing your country and state will help people understand the laws and rights in your country and your state. Knowing your field will help give advice helpful in your specific field. Things that work in one field may not work in another field You can keep it vague enough so you don't get identified but some basic info will definitely help.
Long term employee chasing out new hires
Has anyone ever encountered this? Be it the long term employee fearing being forced out of the job, being unwilling to embrace new ideas, having ridiculous standards, etc.
For the past few days, my boss has been asking me how I am because I seem ‘off’. How do you tell someone you are fucking miserable and you cry in the bathroom because your career is going nowhere and you are bored out of your brain at work and there is no upward trajectory in this job and you are struggling financially and you don’t know if you will ever be able to afford having a kid but you are running out of years to have kids rapidly and your partner might have fertility issues and that’s a whole other issue and if you quit this job you might not be able to find a permanent job that has good enough parental leave benefits and you are the breadwinner of your family so you can’t quit because you can’t pay the mortgage and loans on your partners wage while…
I'm an agm/mechanic for jiffy lube, now we do get an hourly rate, however as an agm I'm “guaranteed” a monthly bonus based on my shops performance. I'm also supposed to get a % from any mechanic work I do. I've worked the entirety of October at my normal shop with the exception of the last 2 days at another shop. The higher ups allocated me to this other shop so all my log ins work yet because of that I get no bonus as well as no mechanic pay because the shop I got put at did too poor and had bad reviews across the board. Just to put in perspective because of this I'm out about 1300$ extra.
Is my boss being biased ?
I and Colleague A report to 1 manager. Both of us have been in the company for 2 years plus. Colleague A joined a few months before me. We started off in 2 different portfolio ownership but a year ago 2 team merged. But still report to the same manager. A culture of the company is my manager(and others) would send work assignment NOT to a person but a few in the recipients. It goes something like “hi all, can either 1 of you take up this piece of work? Whoever wants to will take it up. Basically faster fingers gets it. Those who have take it up gained visibility among management. Few months ago, my boss asked why am i not taking up work from him. I told him that i want to however my colleague responded to the email with “i will take it up” faster than me.…
