My job is not nearly as bad as the horror stories I read on this subreddit. But still, I worked so hard in college in hopes of landing a good job with good pay but I can barely afford rent and live paycheck to paycheck. My 1 year raise does not even match the rate of inflation, the work I do provides me zero fulfillment, and being crammed in my small cubicle for 8 hours with 5 other people and no window is making lose my mind. It’s just so fucking depressing. I just thought there would be more to life than this…. I have hobbies but no time to do them outside of work. And when I get home from work I just feel drained and become complacent on doing nothing except making dinner for myself…. I know this comes off as really pessimistic and privileged but seriously if…
3 Teaching jobs in 3 years all BS
So I need to post this on here. At the very least to get this off my chest and also as a warning to any male, especially HSP males. Who are thinking about going into teaching. My advice as someone who is a male HSP is DONT and here is my reasons why…. in 2020 I lost my Job of four years in logistics. At that point I didn't want to sit on my laurels I wanted to do something I always wanted to do (teach history) so I went through ATLP and got a job at a catholic middle school teaching social studies. It was mostly good however at the end of teaching they also wanted a tech teacher and so my contract wasn't renewed I then was unemployed for the summer got another job in an impoverished area teaching immigrant children. That was a horror story. Kids were…
Hate My Call Center Job
I know hate is a strong word and it's not something that you should say often or in reference to things pertaining to your day-to-day life, but I am entering Year 3. Working in a call Center for the largest financial firm in North America and while the pay is good, the day in and day out agony and slow assassination of my spirit, soul and mind is becoming far. Beyond not worth it. Every day. I'll wake up with a sense of regret that my eyes opened. Knowing that for the next 8 hours I'm going to be. Either in a cubicle or in my Home Office. On the receiving end of. Non-stop complaining, griping. Misdirected bitching & belittling. Coupled with. Low IQ leadership from management and being micromanaged Aggressively. While being supported and trained, none insistently. I have hit the wall in this role as of a year…
Report a Lawyer/Lawfirm anonymously.
Please assit. Background – I am an employee of a lawfirm in california. I know for a fact, three documents with personal information social, names, addresses were sent to wrong clients. To my understanding this is a breach of confidentiality. How do I report this firm and attorney anonymously?
Watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics, there was a section where they honored all the volunteers who helped at the Olympic Games with four bouquets of flowers. I immediately wondered why an event of this size, generating billions in revenue, relies on volunteers. There were 45,000 volunteers working at the Olympic Games. The host city bears a huge financial burden and aims to benefit from increased tourism and infrastructure development. Meanwhile, athletes aren't paid by the IOC. In fact, there were recent reports that some athletes even created OnlyFans accounts to make some money. So where does all the money from sponsorships, broadcasting rights, and ticket sales go? It goes to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The IOC retains a significant portion of the revenue, particularly from broadcasting rights. For the Tokyo Olympics, the IOC's total revenue was $7.6 billion, with a substantial portion coming from media rights. The…
How to get out of return to office?
I’m based in Atlanta and my company hired me on as a remote employee. I’ve been a WFH employee for about 5 years over two previous companies. With this new company however they announced a mandatory return to office for half the week (M,W, every other Friday) 3 weeks after I started. I felt like this was a rug pull and if I had known this I would have accepted another offer that has now passed. The return to office rule states that all employees within a 20 mile radius must come in to the downtown office. As you can imagine commuting to downtown Atlanta in rush hour is hell. I live 14 miles from the office and it takes about an hour and a half to get there. Screw that. Of course all the C suite and manager level employees live outside the radius. Most are in FL or…
