So everyone at work is ill right now. I get we can't all be off ill and we only have a staff of five but this is insane. One of my colleagues had a seizure during the night and was off the next day and my boss was clearly unhappy about it. Then my boss walked in the room to find me on the floor, didn't ask if I was ok, just asked if I could go serve a customer I had to say no I can't stand up right now and his reply was 'well can you shuffle over then so I can get this cage out to show the customer' like wtf?!?? I had gone temporally blind (like when a migraine is coming on), was so dizzy I couldn't stand and my hands had completely locked up. But I guess that's no excuse to not work.

Trabalho em consultoria, logo temos emprego enquanto tem projeto. O projeto que eu estava alocado estava no fim e o outro foi paralisado por ser uma empresa pública que foi privatizada. Com medo de ficar sem emprego no fim do ano mudei de consultoria e quebrei a cara. O projeto é pesado, chato e exige ficar em reuniões horas a fio, sendo que tem que produzir material também. Sometimes I think that going into an interview it’s more about whether the interviewers can get along with potential candidate rather than their actual skills. Has anyone ever lied, or told half-truths about stuff that doesn’t pertain to their qualifications, just to get the job and “let their hair down”? Examples: Music Religion Sexual Orientation Military Status Family Political Views Sports-Either watching or performing I know that this sounds harsh, but I don’t see the harm in it to get a job. My opinion is that if this stuff makes more difference than actual qualifications, then F*#ck’em, I’ll lead them to believe whatever to get hired, since none of that crap really matters when it comes down to performing your job well.

I am at the point where I am considering intentionally doing a shitty job as I keep getting things assigned to me. The response I get as to why I am being assigned more tasks (often the most uncomfortable ones) is “well, you are good at it”. These usually involve the responsibilities that deal with the most irate people and/or employees as I am in a supervisory position. The other problem is that usually these things are started by others, including my supervisor, who fuck them up or become uncomfortable with the task. This has happened at other sites I worked at, and I would usually transfer when it became too much. If so, how long until. Just started a 8-16 5 days a week job. Started last Thursday so only done it for 2 days then weekend. I was already super tired and feel pike 2 days aren't enough to rest. My partner has been working a job at a (we heard; shady) donut place for 4 weeks now, and hasn’t received pay. He was supposed to get it 2 weeks ago, and again yesterday. What do we do now? I have this boss that is just annoying, he constantly calls me to tell me stupid crap, he is just always finding issues wrong and talks to me like I am a piece of shit. I needed to renew the work ad for customer service. I also noticed that another had had expired for a different position she’s hiring for. I figured I’d ask if she wanted me to renew that one as well and this is how it went. Me: I need to renew the ad for customer service. Don't demand higher wages… Demand that they don't answer to grown frat boys on wallstreet expecting continuous growth and then handing out layoffs when it doesn't happen. Demand proportional ownership of the means of production. Demand workers getting promoted instead of shuffling of these financial managers to make you look better for public trading.
