Does anybody have any resources for (lack of a better term) “productivity tools” for an office job? I've got a pretty standard 9-5, and there's an awful lot of repetitive emails. I know that email templates in general exist, but the tedious part is actually filling in information from the specific instance I'm looking it. I am NOT tech savvy, and am an absolute beginner, so im looking for ELI5 levels of answers. Is there: A) a way for me to automatically pull some information from the instance (web page), and use that to automatically draft an email?; and B) not use some external program for it, or need weird root access or anything? It's a corporate computer on a network, and I guarantee I won't be able to use anything other than what is natively on the machine. It would mostly be outlook and excel that I have to…

Basically title. I’m running a group and a someone in the group doesn’t like me. They made up a lie where they claimed I said that offended them and complained to my manager. I never said a such a thing. What they claimed I said wouldn’t have even made any sense for me to say it. Now it’s just my word against theirs. Confront them? Let it die? I don’t know.

Employers should be required to give a 6 week notice before they up and fire somebody because the average person is not gonna be prepared to find another job with no notice which is what they give us

I said it from the beginning. They were going to start letting people go for BS reasons and hire people at lower wages. My husband who voted against the companies interest was let go today. They can now terminate you at will. The reason for letting him go you may ask. Complaining about the working conditions since they got rid of the Union. **Edit: Since I guess maybe I didn’t write it correctly, my husband who is Pro Union voted against the company asking to remove the Union. He voted “against the best interest of the company”. If you read my previous post, you’ll see the company letter they sent when they asked truckers to “trust them”.

So to sum my resume: Casino Airport Sales (a devil corp mlm scheme to make it worse) Cart Attendant I’m so done dealing with the worst types of people who’ll say the most heinous shit to you over the littlest things. I’m just trying to do my shit minimum wage job and everyone around me has to make things harder. The casino was filled with sore losers and children in aging bodies yelling at everyone around them for losses that were ultimately their choice. I was a banker simply looking for mistakes at the table and collecting chips. It’s the most mind numbing soul sucking job as I sit there day after day rotting like everyone else there. Im just cog easily replaced contributing to absolutely nothing but a debilitating addiction to the world. And I just have to sit and take it as dealers chastise me over making them…

Honest work goes unrewarded. Someone could work hard to provide the materials and services society needs to continue, while earning wages that barely keep them afloat. More often than not they’re on the verge of homelessness. Meanwhile you have a certain few that are profiting of our labor, attention, information, or resources, making exponentially more money. And they’re hoarding this all to themselves, while knowing the extent the majority of people are truly suffering. They are creating the rules by which everyone else must abide. Essentially as a human beings we are treated like farm animals. Like a product to be used. Sometimes with our literal life in the case of military duty. This experience is GLOBAL there is not a single country on earth where the structure of humans taking advantage of other humans does not exist. Thought you guys might appreciate this. My husband's IT position was eliminated yesterday and he was let go. Today we go to turn in his laptop and the entire parking lot was empty, very unusual. The IT director met him outside and informed him they'd been hit with a ransomware attack. I don't necessarily believe in karma but that shit is amazing. A very good laugh, we had.

(title says it all) I work at a fast food restaurant and whenever the cook calls off or is late the supervisor or manager always gets mad at me whenever they call off and take their BS out on me like I had something to do with it. Today at work I was scheduled from 12-6 and when the cook didn’t show up today I told my supervisor I’m going to clock out and asked if he needed anything and he’s like no clock out if you don’t wanna cook(I’m not a cook I just either prep orders or take orders). He said tomorrow you’re only working 2 hours from 2-4 because you don’t wanna stay and I’m not gonna deal with you just go home since you love going home on time
