Pro-capitalist beliefs, which include talking about “good-bosses”, “good-employers”, “good-capitalists”, or devaluing and downplaying the value of labor, including justifying exploitation, firing without just cause, or any other transgression against the working class can result in an automatic ban.

A local grocery chain keeps posting job listings for several positions, all of which I'm qualified for. It pays better than my current job and has benefits (my current job got rid of our benefits when a corporation bought us up). I applied to several positions last year. Never got an answer, the job listings were deleted and then reposted again later. Every time they post a new application, I apply and I get the same. No answer, not even a rejection. I can check the statuses of all of my past applications that I've ever applied for with them and they are all still “under review” for almost 20 months now. Recently I saw a slew of job listings from the same location. Same positions, same requirements, same things I have the appropriate qualifications for. So I applied AGAIN. This is mostly just a vent because I'm not in a good headspace right now. My new job, an equally shitty taco place, has been sending up red flags since the moment I had my interview, but I was desperate (and still am, frankly). The department is having another work social. The first one was “mandatory” — the kind where they don’t say that word but heavily imply that you need to go or they’ll be upset. They said since it was such a “great success” that they’re holding another one! I didn’t go to the first one and I don’t want to go to this next one. My controversial opinion is that I really don’t care if we’re being paid for it, I don’t want to go. I’m an introvert and it’s draining as hell, I also don’t like my coworkers that much and I don’t want to smile and play nice with the bosses. I don’t want cold eggs and bacon. I put in my notice at my current job today because I’m starting a new position soon and my manager said to me “I said this to BLANK when he left, but I was lying, but if you need a recommendation in the future l can give you one” A few things, Now am I supposed to believe you are now telling me true truth? That former colleague of mine is a long term friend, I’m of course going to tell him because what if he’s actually been putting him down as a reference? Why bring someone else up when I’m quitting? It felt odd. What the f*ck? Why lie? Why not just say “I can’t give you a good recommendation so you should ask someone else” WTH?!

She did it again. And I don't think I can take it anymore. I write reports. Every week we have meetings that need to have reports. Once a month, we have a huge meeting that needs a huge reports. My colleague didn't have time to do it before I went on vacation, so I wrote it. She previously complained that I wrote too little and didn't pit any effort in it, that I needed to provide more context, more détails, etc… she rewrote above all of my report, completly erasing sentences to rewriting exactly the same, in another order (like, I wrote “X happened due to Y”, she completly erased it and wrote “due to Y, X happened”). I wrote this report with hers right next to it to copy her style and forms. I provided more context. I copied her sentences. I went on vacations. I came back today,…

Hopefully I can get some insight on this but this is a first in my career. So, there’s a new facility being built where I live. I accepted a job as one of the first few hired there and left a really good paying job for a slight pay cut to be closer to home. Before I took the job, they lined out a schedule to be trained at an existing facility, a few states away for 6 weeks. Makes sense. So, 6 weeks comes and goes and they say well, it’s going to be more like 16 weeks. We’re all pretty pissed off and with the work schedule, we can only visit home a couple days a month. This has been going on now for 18 weeks and we can’t get any answers on when we’ll be returning home as they build our site, and move on with training.…

I do not get these guys. Stressing themselves and others for bs tasks that add nothing positive in this world.
