Does anyone back out of an Indeed listing when it takes you to the employers website to apply?

When this happens I immediately lose all motivation to apply for them, I don’t care what company it is or how good the job is. My resume is enough, I worked hard on it. I’m not going to make an account, refill out my entire resume in your messy website text boxes just to have your system automatically reject my application and so you can sell my data. Plus it’s a good way to filter out corpos, smaller companies are much better to work for usually in my experience.

Not Quitting, But a Bit Demoralized

I work at a job pulling network fiber cables for data centers and warehouses. These sites are usually 2000+ ft long and can be several stories tall. I was loaned out to a job that has mandatory 12 hour shifts 7 days per week and so far as I knew I was doing a lot of work. After we pull the cables someone has to patch them I to the network and the first guy we had doing this was SLOW. I started helping so we could catch up between times of cable pulling and was able to catch us up pretty fast. The next day the other guy was out and I was in. I felt really good about myself because I could not only keep up with the guys pulling the cables, but I would outpase them. When I finished patching the cables in I would go and…

Returning ex-emoployera equipment.

So basically what the title says.. except.. I received an email this morning, over two weeks after my termination, during which my address was verified as well as the fact I needed packing materials. “What equipment do you have to return? For the Computer, Desktop or Laptop, what is it and the Make, Model, Service Tag/Serial Number of the computer? If a laptop, do you have a docking station for it? If you have Monitors, how many and what is the Make of it/them? And last, do you have Boxes and Packing Material to use to ship them back to us, and if not what what specific equipment do you need to ship back to us? ” I'm not sure why I should do more work for a company who fired me, unjustly I might add. It's not like they will pay me for my time to document this stuff,…

So hard to give a shit

I'm about to start a new job, but giving a shit has been hard recently. Giving a shit about someone else's bottom line while my family only sees a small fraction of it. It's hard for me to give any kind of shit anymore. And I'm only 30 lol.

Need help with a terrible boss person

I joined a new company six months ago, the current business director has been there for 12 months. In that time the marketing manager, 9 out of 10 sales people And the sales manager have all left. 100% because of the business director. She’s rude to everybody around her but manages up well in the company. Reporting into a different region she is also rude to all those people. The problem is locally her and the HR director are connected at the hip. Numerous people have made complaints but because it goes to the HR director it falls on deaf ears. If any of the people that left were interviewed externally they would all say the same thing. Looking for advice on what to do and how to let other people know? The team has been discussing and we were thinking about sending an email to the global compliance department…

Time clock question/vent…

Going to cut straight to the chase. I work as an hourly employee in a school. Our contract times are 8:30-3:30, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch, for a total of 6.5 hours a day. We are required to clock in and out, and the time clock program that they use utilizes some form of rounding. Anytime after a 3 is rounded up to the nearest 10 minute, and anytime below a 3 is rounded down to the nearest 10 minutes. Example: if you clock in at 8:23 it is rounded up to 8:30 as your start time, and if you clock out at 3:32, your clock out time is 3:30. During our first day we met with admin and were “talked to” regarding the time clock situation. They started off by saying that our contract work hours are clearly stated as 8:30-3:30 but that obviously we need to be…
