Executive sent this typical long ridiculous email how the business isn't doing good and we all need to be onsite for better collaboration or something like that. Couldn't even do it to our faces, had to hide behind some email. I love how some idiot in the C suite thinks he knows how the teams operate better than the teams themselves and is now gonna cause the company to bleed its best talent, because those workers WILL NOT struggle to find a better paying employer (theres dozens of companies in this industry, shit theres a few down the street). Hi all! I just did kind of a silly thing and thought it was worth sharing. I work at a hotel just down the street from where I live. It's a very prominent building that I see very clearly from my apartment windows- bedroom, living room, you name it. While I enjoy the job to a degree, it's very, very high stress, and I struggle with what I can only describe as a rotating carnival of mental illnesses that only make that worse. I'm sure everyone's familiar with the idea of “your day being ruined because you have to go to work at night”, and that's been triple exacerbated lately by me doing rotating night audit shifts with one (sometimes two) of my other coworkers. I just got back from some time off and noticed one of the managers wasn't on the schedule anymore. Asked a few people who didn't really know why but all said she got fired. But today finally someone knew and filled me in. We work in a mall for context – she clocked out for her lunch, took off her name tag, exited the employee doors and went to the food court on the other side of the mall. That's when she proceeded to hit her vape. Another manager happened to be on break and saw her, and then decided to take photos of her doing it and forwarded it to the higher up. I feel so listless and I don’t know what to do to fix myself. Just got out of an annoying part time retail job and been unemployed for a bit having to live off of my savings. I keep trying to pursue some form of digital entrepreneurship but I'm worried I've fallen for the sunken cost fallacy where I am clinging to ideas that just aren't viable and treating it like its my only hope. I have an associates degree in media and been trying to freelance videography and editing without much luck. Company sent out an email at 5am this morning, which many employees didn't read. So hundreds of workers arrived to find their badges inactivated, locked out of their emails and told by security to leave. About 700 employees.

Hello everyone would love some opinions on my situation: I’m a SR Level sales leader at a mid size consumer products company. After my previous boss announced a re org, ownership cancelled it. It was a good re org for almost everyone including the company. Ownership brought a new physco jn and it hasn’t gone well for many of us. Friday I was asked to take a demotion of 3O% pay and take a new role. Was not given the severance option yet but I know it’s coming. I’m currently interviewing for other SR jobs but keep making it to final round and not closing. I’ve had one offer that wasn’t close. My new role will put financial strain on us but we can live. Started a new warehouse job it’s my third job ever I’m still working another job but only on weekends the warehouse job is awful and want to leave without saying anything only been here for three days but heard that leaving without a notice can affect my record when applying to another job when they do a background check is this true or not. What will happen if I don’t show up at all on Monday?

So I got two jobs. One is a government job and we get a nice little parking permit and don’t have to pay anything. The other is a HOSPITAL. We just got new toll booths for parking. I mean imagine having an emergency and having to pay to park like what. Anyways, I work overnights at that job in the emergency room. And the overnight parking fee in the garage is now $50!!! So any overnight employee, working a graveyard shift which already sucks has to pay $50! Or, you can park a mile away and walk in the dark. With stop-lights, traffic, etc. it’s a good 20-30 min walk. So we have to get to work let’s say a minimum 30 minutes early, walk a mile with all our stuff, UNPAID, then do it all again when you get off work. Or pay $50… like what the fuck. Thought…
