Do you guys think this is messed up ore no? I wouldn’t get paid my 2 week vacation days so I wanted to use them before I left might as well but maybe it looks a little bit messed up to do but idk. They’re not the perfect employers either and they’ve changed my schedule and location a couple times with out a choice basically and other problems like doing a lot at work ore others be very irresponsible and nothing happens to them not show up breakdowns many things and nothing ever seems to happen to them and I’m pretty responsible respectful and good worker and they’re always on my ass and it’s…

Worked for a company in Wisconsin that installs custom kitchens and closets. The pay was commission. I would get paid 1/2 at the sale and then paid the remain 2nd half once installed. When I gave them my notice of leaving the company, I was told that I will only be paid on the contracts while I am still employed. Meaning that any installs that are done after I leave, I would not get paid for the remaining amount. This is thousands of dollars left unpaid. I have to the employment contract to see what the terms were but this seems wrong.
I will take 1953….

But why do people seem to enjoy…
https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/aug/24/decadent-and-passive-china-cracks-down-on-throwing-eggs-card-game-guandan A recent run of articles in the state-run Beijing Youth Daily described guandan as intoxicating and “decadent”, warning that it was “time to control the trend of ‘laying flat’ among all guandan players”. Laying flat (tangping in Chinese) is the term given to a social trend among young people who are rejecting high-pressure jobs for an easier lifestyle, which has alarmed authorities. Reading the rest of the article, it looks more like the government is afraid of anything that might resemble a union.
