I am scared shitless to submit this claim to the DOL for CA, but my manager has now over the past 3 months taken, deducted, stolen; what have you more than 15 hours worth of overtime. Should I file a retaliation claim alongside the other one? Thanks guys, any input would be heavily appreciated and looked at

At my wits end, once again
3AM, tired but unable to sleep even though I have been prescribed some of the strongest antianxiety sleep medication out there. Another fleeting weekend gone, another week of waking up miserable, riding the packed train to work and working like a dog, only to come home so exhausted and so terrified that I have to repeat this again tomorrow, that I'm barely able to do anything. Then night comes, and the reason for the insomnia is simple, the sheer fear that when I fall asleep its in that exact next moment the cycle begins again. I am a slave, giving almost all of my time away just to afford the most basic of necessities. I'm tired, so fking tired, I just want to quit… But then I know that in a couple of months my money will run out and the job searching is yet another excruciating torture one has…
You ever feel like walking out ?
I go back to work tomorrow I’m really not tryna go like I can’t explain it I feel a weight in my chest everytime I enter that establishment. I think to myself “damn another day of being a drone of being a slave” I’m getting paid 20 an hour which ain’t shit in LA and the CEOs are probably chilling somewhere in there mansions not doing shit. God I don’t want to tomorrow shit makes me miserable.
Bored of IT work
Sometimes I feel so annoyed and frustrated by some dynamics into the consultancy/corporate/IT world that I would like to have an exit strategy… but the reality is, thatbI do not have one. How to build it? Where to start? What are the option, I live in belgium, but I have no issue elsewhere in Europe
How are people finding good jobs?
Whenever I'm reading some posts on Reddit, people mention I applied over 100 jobs but I still don't have a job or interview lined up. Sometimes all I get is ghosting. Some people have ton of experience and qualifications but still get rejected. Do people find jobs because they lie on the resume, network on LinkedIn or in person? Add some skills or certification.
They didn't win anything. They spent years, even decades, earning it. “Congrats” is like saying we should be thankful to the company for allowing us to make them more wealthy … If anything, we should congratulate the company. They won a great employee through the ATS lotto. Not to mention the candidate happening to see and apply to the role early enough that they were noticed. Further, it's them who should be thankful. Someone who's dedicated their life to mastering the exact set of skills they need is willing to put up with them.
Basically I’ve been working a sales job for the last year, around May I got a new part time job and my old sales job started paying me like $500 every two weeks plus a gas card. I did absolutely no work and would basically just answer emails and phone calls but never actually work my territory. It’ll be extremely hard to prove but I wanted to see if anyone thinks I could get sued for this. Also extremely small company with around 10 reps and not a ton of money. Thanks.
My boss makes me hate my job.
I (26F) work as a GED teacher in a state men's correctional facility. I have been doing this for about 9 months and have found SO much value in the work. I've since graduated ~ 50 GEDs, and all of my guys have either gotten early release or are now taking on trade/college programs at the facility. So far, I believe I have been building positive rapport with all of my students. My boss was hired as our supervisor about two months before I transferred in from a different facility, so even though she wasn't the one who hired me, I am the only teacher who came in after she was hired. She lets the other teachers leave their classrooms and sit in their offices as much as they want while class is in session, but scolds me to high heaven if I ever for a few minutes (to make…
First of all, even if I'm complaining right now, I'm aware that I'm at a very lucky and unusual position, and I feel very grateful for that. Three months ago, I received a great public employment offer. It was part of a greater public employment network for young people carried out by the European Union, and many public entities receive money in order to create specific temporary positions in order to help young people to gain work experience. Specifically, my job is part of a project pushed by a city council. Every few months, this city council creates job offers for people under 30 from different areas to offer them a temporary job that lasts from 6 to 12 months, and they don't ask for experience, the only requirements are to be under 30 and to have an specific education. The thing about these offers is that the conditions are…
