So i applied for a job that needed 3 years of nursing experience which is exactly what i have, did 4 interviews with this “new job” and they said in an email TWO weeks ago that i got the job, and last week i was supposed to recieve the “offer letter” which i NEVER got. I was dealing with a smaller company, so when i was doing these interviews i was always dealing with the owner and the manager. i called a 2x and emailed 2x last weeek no response. Called today and they pick up and i ask basically whats happening and they ask me if i need to put my two weeks in at my current nursing job.. i say actually i put it in a week and a half ago its almost done. The manager who i was speaking on the phone to says great so you can start on monday? i said sure thing i just need the offer letter and contract. She then says it will be sometime this week… ok? (also i realize now putting in my two weeks was stupid but this company seemed promising but i learned from my mistake). I then get a call at 4:30 asking me to start TOMORROW. no offer letter or contract in my email. I say im sorry but 1)i need to work a few more days to fufil my 2 week notice at my CURRENT JOB, and 2)i have recieved no paperwork. Manager then tells me she has to tell the owner and shell call back. She calls back and i say am i still starting on monday? She then said “maybe…. sometime that week possibly” WTF. what are they doing? why did they ghost me for a good week, why did they never send me an official paperwork that i requested… and why would they ask me about the two week notice and then call me 4 hours later and ask if i can start tomorrow???? i already know how much salary im supposed to make but for all i know i can show up and it could be anything at this point bc why not send the offer letter already making it clear?
