Burner account to protect myself. I've always been curious about something at my current job. I don't hate everything about my job, but there are definitely some quirky issues with how the company is run. One of those issues is that all salaried people are expected to work 45 hours every week, but our pay stubs say we work 40. It's not a huge deal for me personally, but I have to say if push comes to shove I feel like it's a potential ace up my sleeve if I ever have a dispute with the company. Does that count as some kind of fraud? Tax issue? It's done openly, and is in the company handbook that we work 45-hour weeks. It's always seemed strange to me and other coworkers. Interested to hear other's thoughts on it.
