6 interviews for a $16/hour receptionist job

I live just outside the Seattle area, which has an extremely high cost of living. Our minimum wage is $15.74. I have applied to about 100+ jobs in a month and applied here out of desperation since it’s down the street from me. After doing the initial phone interview which I did alright in, they told me there were 5 additional rounds of interviews to get through!!!!! The job has no benefits and they mentioned it has high turnover and they’ve had a hard time trying to fill it as they really want a “drama free workplace”. Can’t imagine why… I understand doing 2 rounds of interview but if you’re doing more than that, you better be at least offering a decent wage and benefits. No job is important enough to justify 6 rounds of interviews let alone one barely above minimum wage.
