Honestly, I need someone to tell me if I’m just way out of touch. I quit my job with 2-weeks notice, I work at a small IT firm as a technician/sales person. My boss was very irked and lectured me about how “anything less than a 6-week notice is unprofessional and inconvenient”. Is this some new standard I’m unaware of? Part of why I’m leaving is because my boss has been patronizing and misogynistic (I’m the only female tech at my firm) so I’m pretty sure he’s just being his usual tool self.
